Situated in some of Yorkshires finest heather moorland, with extensive views, this family operated Shooting Lodge and Farm is a peaceful but yet highly active location. With our friendly heard of pedigree Belted Galloway roaming the hill side, Alpacas who eat of your hands and our pigs who will eat anything coupled with the amazing wildlife with many rare birds such as Curlew, Lapwing, Twite and Owls, this is truly a unique site. We also operate simulated game clay shooting, shotgun lessons and have a go sessions for beginners. These days are only 2 to 3 times a month, if your on site you will be offered to join in the hospitality and maybe a chance of a shoot. If you or your dogs don't like bangs, please check if we have anything on prior to booking, or even better book a session with our resident dog trainer and handler. We are sat close to 4 amazing villages, Marsden, Slaithwaite, Meltham and Holmfirth, all with amazing bars, pubs, restaurants and array of shops. Local taxi service if you fancy a beer or two, or ask nicely and we may run you out in the 6 seater buggy. With fantastic walks and mountain bike tracks all around you can be as active or chilled out as you like and if you feel at a loose end we always have plenty of jobs you could help with on the farm.
