Caravan and Motorhome Club members looking for a cracking place to stay in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, this could be the one you’re looking for. The Rowe House Certificated Location is a real gem of a place, with just a handful of pitches (for CAMC members only) in a half-acre space within the grounds of a friendly B&B. Take a look at the pictures and you’ll no doubt spot the presence of Pen-y-Ghent looming over the pitches. There’s easy access to the summit trail from the site too, making this a very convenient spot for those who’d like to climb the mountain or take on the full Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge. And of course it’s an equally excellent location for those who just like to appreciate spectacular landscapes while having a cup of tea. Being within the national park, there are plenty more trails, outdoor activities and attractions all around, and the site owners are always very happy to point you in the direction of something suitable for your interests. Handily, Horton-in-Ribblesdale station is only about five minutes’ walk away for more far-flung outings; the village itself is a little further down the road (about 15 minutes’ walk) and the market town of Settle is about 15 minutes’ drive away for a good collection of shops, pubs and restaurants. Back on site, there’s a peaceful atmosphere and plenty of space to relax – perhaps take a stroll around the wildflower meadow, cook your dinner on the barbecue or settle by the chiminea to warm your toes while enjoying a sunset drink. Other handy facilities include a bathroom and a kitchen area with washing machine and tumble dryer.
