Fully-serviced gravel and hardstanding touring caravan pitch

Liked Good clean facilities elsan . Point very near water electric at the side of caravan pub with dog snug activities for children and the shop is very reasonably price
Staff very welcoming
5 minutes drive into Skipton or a 20 minute stroll
Everything on the doorstep

Disliked The only thing was the WiFi
Which only worked when up at the pub
If you wanted to watch tv eg Netflix or download something on evening you needed to hotspot WiFi
But it wasn’t really an issue

A fantastic pitch either for a drop off or a week’s holiday.

Fully-serviced gravel and hardstanding touring caravan pitch

Liked Main bar especially outside seating

Disliked Touring pitch was poor due to very rough surface with lots of weeds. The area had potential to be improved to give it a good star rating.

Local attractions

Head to Embsay Station (10 minutes’ drive) for a ride on the Embsay & Bolton Abbey Steam Railway, but be sure to get there well before your train is due to depart to make the most of the tiny vintage café, which serves yummy home-made cakes. It’s also worth keeping an eye on the website for events like murder mysteries and driving experiences. At Thornton Hall Farm Country Park (15 minutes), the children can ride ponies, feed lambs or go on a safari drive through the grounds to see the resident deer herd. There is also an indoor soft-play area and quad bikes (for both kids and for adults, should you feel unfairly left out…) Need to wind down further? Take a day trip to Harrogate (35 minutes), where the Victorian Turkish Baths is a spectacular spot for a steam, a soak or an invigorating massage (or a cold plunge, if that’s your jam). At the Royal Pump Room Museum you can learn more about the history of this spa town, before heading to Betty’s Café Tea Rooms for scones and sandwiches.
