Liked Ideal half way stop for us on the way down from Edinburgh. Just off the A1 - it's a quiet well maintained compact site (we've stayed a few times for good reason). The site owners are very friendly and helpful. Amenities - there is a local Co-Op - just a 10 min walk down the road to the village where there is also the Wensleydale Railway (check the timetables on their website - wensleydale-railway.co.uk/stations-leeming-bar) . If you like aircraft and ad-hoc air shows - RAF Leeming is close by also. Definitely recommend this site as a stop over location. We had a motorhome so if you are going to base yourself here which is ideally located for North Yorkshire etc - you will need a car.
