What customers say
This well-maintained and immaculately clean site offers spacious pitches, excellent facilities, and friendly, helpful staff. Guests praised the beautiful countryside location, ideal for walking and exploring nearby villages, and many expressed a desire to return. The farm walk is particularly popular. Some minor points included the need for levelling ramps on pitches and occasional concerns about toilet/shower availability during peak times or brief cleaning closures.

A beautiful campsite in a lovely…
Electric grass touring pitch
Liked A beautiful campsite in a lovely location, with stunning surroundings and a really peaceful atmosphere. The site itself is well maintained and makes for a relaxing stay.
Disliked However, a few things unfortunately let the experience down for us. The wardens seemed to check on us quite frequently and often appeared to find something to complain about. It created an atmosphere where we felt more monitored than welcomed, which took away from the enjoyment of the stay.
We were also approached on our way back to the campsite after spending the day out with guests who had come to visit us. This was despite us having tried to contact the site beforehand and leaving voicemail messages, which unfortunately do not appear to have been picked up. A little more communication and understanding in these situations would have gone a long way.

From the manager: Thanks for taking the time to leave your review.
We work very hard to offer a safe peaceful place to take your holiday and when we send your pitch details we also include some guidance for staying with us. Your booking does not need to include your day guests but we do insist the staff on site are available to record any day guests, as required by the Fire/Safety regulations. We appreciate that it is difficult to be asked what extra guests you have with you but we have to ask!
We had to repeatedly ask you to keep your dog on it's lead and our warden did eventually catch it for you. Quite simply, we ask that dogs are on their leads whilst on site. You are welcome to make use of our farm walk, it's perfect to let your dog have a run without it's lead. For the safety of all other guests and pets we instruct our staff to keep a check on dogs not on leads and remind their owners.
Our guests and staff would be disappointed if we allowed high numbers of extra visitors on site and roaming pets, unable to be recalled by their owners.
We are pleased you found our site to be in a lovely location and a peaceful atmosphere. We achieve this by asking our guests and our team to consider others and bear our site guidance in mind.

Liked Spacious, level, very well maintained pitches with some hedging for privacy. Very clean toilet/shower block. Lots of local information available at reception. Excellent dog walk around the farm perimeter direct from the site.

From the manager: Thanks for your lovely review. Our site is perfectly located to offer those well drained pitches and we provide plenty of space per pitch. Our reception is part of the facilities building which houses local information as well as the laundry! The farm walk has just been relocated and is still a great walk around the farmland and out on to the views from the Nab.

From the manager: Thanks for your great review! Glad you enjoyed the walks and the views. It's so good to know we all give you a warm welcome and a friendly face in case of any problems. The Farm Walk shows off the scenery beautifully and gives everyone an opportunty to burn off some energy right from the doorstep.
A gentle walk down to the Crown Pub is nice and the walk back up is refreshing. Lots to do in the village if you've eaten at home so do pop down and admire the beck!

Recommend to friends Visit again
From the manager: Thanks for taking the time to leave a review of your stay on our site. We are so pleased liked our site and you found the lovely walks from site, enjoying the peace and quiet the National Park offers.
We had hoped that the EV charging points in the nearby National Park car park would suffice, saving us the need to designate an area with a charger and setting up payment methods etc. The site electric is too low an ampage to allow vehicle charging from your pitch. It is something we will need to look at this season and upgrade if necessary. Thanks for letting us know it's something you would like.
