  • Peaceful North Yorkshire glamping site with lots of space
  • Fountains Abbey and Ripley Castle 10 minutes' drive
  • Private firepit and barbecue for each unit; free welcome hamper
Explore the best of the gorgeous North Yorkshire countryside from the comfort of your luxurious canvas accommodation at Little North Field, a smart glamping site in a paddock just outside the small village of Bishop Thornton. Reconnect with friends, family and nature on this small and private site, where each group gets access to its own exclusive firepit, barbecue and sheltered open-air decking area – a great place to stop and unwind, whether for a morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening. Inside, the ensuite canvas lodges come with two separate sleeping areas, with a kingsize room and a second space with a double bed and a single bunk. Little details like twinkling fairy lights, luxury bedding, thick mattresses and a hot water bottle are all included to make sure you get an excellent night's sleep. A cosy logburning stove is also on hand to keep you warm at night and on those chillier evenings. Little North Field is about half a mile from the nearest restaurant. For supermarket shops, fish and chips or cream teas, head into the centre of historic Harrogate (15 minutes' drive). As well as the free welcome hamper provided on arrival, there are locally sourced food hampers available to buy here too.

The Foxes' Den 2 bedroom safari tent (pet friendly)

Liked Lovely site - Superb accomodation. The safari tents are far removed from the scout camps you may remember. Your hosts Tim and Katherine were lovely, nothing was too much trouble. There was lots to see and do in the area but you do need a car. We were a family of seven, useing two safari tents, including grandparents, three boys under twelve and a dog. We all had a great time.
