Great spot for families or hikers looking to stay in the Peak District
Bottom Barn bunkhouse
Liked Great little spot for a weekend get away, would highly recommend.

An excellent and cozy site with a brilliant host.
Serendipity shepherd's hut
Liked Well-appointed in a beautiful location and Alison was a very accommodating host. She had really thought of anything someone might want for a stay. The only thing which was a little rustic was the camping shower. It was also good value for money and only a short drive into Leek.
Disliked Not all the details on pitchup were correct - the details refer to the barn rather than the shepherd's hut e.g. it said to bring a pillow and sleeping bag.

A great find- as they say, like camping but better!
Bottom Barn bunkhouse
Liked We loved all of it- the barns were big, clean and brilliantly equipped. The whole place was quirky and the kids absolutely loved exploring the place. There were so many great touches- the owner had laid kindling in all the fires for us every day and we enjoyed sitting outside with the shelter of the outdoor area.
Disliked Nothing we disliked- we loved it all.

Hidden gem
Top Barn bunkhouse
Liked Every thing , welcome plaque with our name on. A basic but well equipped barn that could sleep 7. Our own composting toilets. Male and female. One for each barn. A shower which was hot and good pressure.
Had a fridge freezer ,oven , toaster, microwave and kettle.
Our own outdoor fire pit with seating.
An outdoor bbq in a sheltered seating area with a log burner for those rainy nights.
The host. Alison is a lovely lady who cleaned out the toilets daily and provided more paper and twigs in the fire pit and log burner.
We had more sleep in 3 nights than we have in a week at home.
Could have stayed longer and will definitely be returning.
Disliked Having to leave!

A fabulous stay in a beautiful setting
Top Barn bunkhouse
Liked What an amazing place to stay. Alison was very welcoming and friendly and gave us tips on places to visit. There were lots of little touches which we really appreciated, including providing washing up liquid and setting up the campfire and log burner for us. We stayed in the top barn bunkhouse and it was very cosy and had everything we needed including a full size cooker. We loved having a campfire and the private undercover outside area was a great shelter if weather was inclement, complete with it's own log burner. The toilets were kept very clean daily throughout our stay. The views were beautiful and it was within walking distance of the town of Leek but also peaceful at the same time due to it's location. A lovely place to stay if you want a quiet, peaceful getaway which was perfect for our needs. We will return and highly recommend it.
