Electric grass tent pitch (no awning)
Liked What a pleasant surprise it was, we did a last minute booking as was looking for somewhere not too far from home so found and booked this campsite, greeted so warmly by Richard and made to feel so welcome! The campsite is gorgeous, very well-kept and the gentle horses walking on their path made our stay a completely amazing experience especially for our little one! Richard and Pamela helped us with our enquiries above and beyond, they couldnt do enough, hubby couldnt stop singing praises about them! Surrounding areas are gorgeous, we went to Aldelford Lake for wild swimming and the Aquapark, which is only about 20 mins drive from the campsite and came back to enjoy the beautiful sunset right from our tent whilst having our dinner! It was just such a great experience we extended our stay for one more night. Thank you ever so much for having us, Lady Willington, we definitely will be back!

A beautiful, family friendly site - well recommended!
Electric grass tent pitch (no awning)
Liked We stayed at Lady Willington Camping & Caravan Park after an earlier stop further north and were immediately pleased on arrival. The grounds and surrounding area are beautifully maintained and set in a lovely part of the country. Our pitch on the front field near the entrance offered plenty of space for our Vango Air 6XL, and we were happy to find we could park our car beside/afront the tent despite initial booking information suggesting otherwise.
The electric hook-up worked perfectly, and we really enjoyed the nature around us, especially the stunning onsite horses and well maintained grounds. The horses were occasionally noisy in the early hours, along with an enthusiastic nearby cockerel - but it added to the charm of staying somewhere so rural and peaceful. Our pitch was flat, had fresh water available, and was ideal for our stay.
The showers and toilets were clean and well-kept, the shower we used was hot with great pressure, though an additional toilet and shower, particularly near the front field, would make a noticeable difference during busy periods albeit we appreciate that sometimes, you just have to wait your turn haha! We met some lovely people during our stay, many of whom were camping for the first time and seemed to be enjoying it just as much. The owner greeted us on arrival and was friendly and welcoming.
Pitchup doesn’t list the site as having Wi-Fi, nor does the site specifically advertise, yet when selecting dates and pitch types it states “WiFi at the unit/pitch” which caused some initial confusion. There is Starlink available, but it appears to be intended for the main building albeit some of the closer pitches may be able to access it seems. This didn’t impact our stay as 4G worked fine, especially for our daughter.
The site is in a rural location, so driving out is necessary for exploring, but we enjoyed visiting nearby towns such as Whitchurch and Oswestry. Just something of note.
Disliked Not much to dislike by any means!

Everything we wanted.
Electric grass tent pitch (no awning)
Liked Everything. Great location, wonderful hosts who knowing we were novice campers allowed to come a little early to set up. Choice of pitches with horses along side. The beautiful site cat Binx made himself at home in our tent. He was a delight. Facilities, spotless and well stocked. Fluffy towels and no scratchy paper ones. Couldn’t have picked anywhere better for our maiden camping trip! We will be back for sure.
