Electric grass pitch (medium)
Liked I saw lots of poor reviews about the facility before I arrived but actually I had no issue with these. Always clean and well maintained. People also complained about it being dated, honestly you’re camping, does that matter? No issues there for us. We didn’t use swimming pool as we walked past and actually it’s not very big and was full so we choose not to use. There were couple of parks for kids and some animals so our girls were happy with that. Also a good takeaway on site for reasonable prices.
Disliked We were in tent on purple field, packed in like sardines. We’ve never experienced that before when camping (guess we tend to go more remote in big open fields). Orange field seemed even more compacted also. Lots of kids left unsupervised at park, twice I had to assist two children who hurt themselves with absolutely no parents in sight. One child was 4 the other was 2 years old. Got the impression of quite a “party” campsite, lots of day drinking and music playing from 7am until 11am from adults and children wondering around using foul language. Would not pay the price I paid again for the pitch, not worth what they charge.

Great family site, especially for younger children
Electric grass pitch (medium)
Liked Arrive and was greeted by helpful staff, met at the pitch by the warden. Who gave additional information which was great. Had no issues booking into the pool. My son booked double sessions due to there being space. Dog area was lovely. Some shaded walks to this area which was great in the heat. Entertainment was dated but fun. Animals were a fab addition. Also fresh eggs from the shop. Shop was reasonable priced. Didn't use the cafe. Two play areas which were good. My sons a bit older so wasn't that interested. Warden was available 24 hours. Ground was hard and rocky but didnt have an issue with pegs. All staff were friendly and helpful. Toilets clean, showers dated and could do with a refurb but they were clean and warm.
Disliked Didn't realise until warden had left pitch that it was covered in dogs ends. My son found this particularly gross. I picked these up and binned them. This is down to service users more than the site itself. Quite a few broken out of order arcade machines in the bar area.

Great place for families.
Electric grass pitch (medium)
Liked Great place, lots of stuff for the kids. The kids loved seeing all the animals. All the staff were so helpful and kind to us. Their pool was a bit chilly (we picked first slot so might be why) but you got your own table and never felt too crowded.
Disliked Toilet block could do with a bit of a clean but was fine. I just wished the play parks opened earlier in the morning as we have little ones and they're up early so the park not being open before 9/10am some days was not ideal

What customers say
This is a large, family-friendly campsite with numerous activities for children including play areas and a swimming pool. Pitches are generally spacious and well-maintained. Staff are frequently described as friendly and helpful. However, some visitors note that the toilet and shower facilities are dated and could benefit from refurbishment. Noise from other campers and occasional issues with ground hardness for pegs are also mentioned.

Liked Very helpful and friendly staff, very informative. And was told if I needed anything at all 24 hours to call them. Being a single mum this was nice to hear.

Electric grass pitch (large, no pets)
Liked A good spacious pitch. Swimming pool and children's playgrounds enjoyed by our grandchildren. Portacabin toilets and showers near our pitch were good.
Disliked If you are in the orange section, quite a long walk to the shop and swimming pool.

Electric grass pitch (large, no pets)
Liked Lovely facilities, well organised and friendly checking - my kids loved seeing the pigs.
Disliked The young lady in the shop was quite short with my daughter who was selecting a toy to buy - no need for that in a family campsite shop. My daughter didn’t tell me until we got outside and I said I’m surprised you didn’t ask for a squishy toy and she said the woman shouted at her. Had I seen it happen I’d have said something.
