  • Quiet holiday park beneath Wenlock Edge in Shropshire countryside
  • Museum of The Gorge 20 minutes’ drive; Shrewsbury Abbey 25 minutes
  • Dog walks and fishing ponds on site; pubs 10 minutes’ drive
Tucked beneath the Wenlock Edge escarpment in stunning Shropshire countryside, Mill Farm Holiday Park is a farm site with a peaceful location in mature parkland. It’s surrounded by open farmland where you can (hopefully) spot an abundance of wildlife, and 20 minutes’ drive from the plethora of displays and attractions at the award-winning Museum of The Gorge. This peaceful family-run spot has touring pitches with a shower block, plus a recreation room and ping-pong tables to keep everyone on their toes. The pitches have direct access to lots of paths for dog walks, and the site also makes a handy base for more ambitious walkers (the Jack Mytton Way and Shropshire Way both pass within about 10 minutes’ walk), along with cyclists and birdwatchers. There are well-stocked carp ponds on site for guests who fancy fishing, and if you're not an angler you can feed the fish instead for a nice gentle outdoor activity. There are pubs in the pretty village of Much Wenlock (10 minutes’ drive); should you need a supermarket for snacks and meal supplies, Shrewsbury (25 minutes) has you covered.

What customers say

This is a quiet, clean, and rural campsite with friendly, helpful owners. Guests praised the good-sized, level pitches with water taps, and the well-maintained grounds featuring wildlife and fishing lakes. Nearby countryside walks and attractions are a highlight. Facilities are generally clean but some found the shower block a little dated and noted an extra charge for showers. Limited Wi-Fi and mobile signal are also mentioned.

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked Nice and very friendly Park, I like having a security barrier as it adds that little extra peace in mind when going out and about etc

Disliked No communal bins placed around the park, for a park of this size should have several areas not just one area by barrier.
No dog bins either

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked A warm greeting from the friendly owners who showed us to our pitch. The pitches were spacious we had a fully serviced gravel pitch. The site its self is fairly rural and was very peaceful. The toilet and shower facilities were not as modern as some sites however, they were spotlessly clean. There was a charge of £1.50 for a token to run the shower.

This was our first time out in our new caravan and we only wanted to stay fairly local. Much Wenlock is definitely worth a visit, lots of history and real charming place. The site is well placed for getting out and visiting all parts of Shropshire and South Staffordshire.

Disliked No phone signal or Wi-Fi whist on our pitch, which was at the bottom of a valley. Great if you want to get away from it all but not so great if you need to contact someone or want to watch Netflix on the tv! You could access the sites wi-fi if you were up by reception but it did not extend down to the caravan pitch.

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Fully serviced, level/ size of pitches really good. Amenities well placed including BYO barn that offers entertainment on certain weekends and games room. Wildlife haven, beautiful trees and ponds with very hungry carp. Stunning countryside walks from site, Wenlock edge, 420 million year old escarpment with plenty of marine fossils and lovely walks, Roman city of Wroxeter, stunning abbeys, priory's, villages including Ironbridge, do not miss this. Didn't get chance to do The Wrekin. Will be back!

Disliked My only query.. On arrival my husband was told there is an extra charge for showers. This wasn't something we used as we have one however, I don't recall it being mentioned in site blurb. This extra charge could become expensive with larger families.

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked It’s a lovely quiet site with all the facilities you require. The staff go above and beyond and it’s a great little family run site. The site is clean and tidy, shower is really good and a token lasts about 8 min so plenty of time. You must visit the lake and experience the feeding frenzy of the fish but don’t forget the bread.

Will definitely be booking again in the future.

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked Very spacious pitch. Lovely peace and quiet. Toilets, showers are very clean and tidy. Very friendly, helpfull people. We even had a night out with them on site watching a singer.

Disliked Maybe there could be a little on site shop for necessities. There was only 1 shower out 3 in the ladies that worked correctly.
