The long grass was due to 2 weeks of rain prior to the bank holiday weekend, and not wishing to cut the grass whilst we had campers and spoiling their stay.

Non-electric grass pitch
Liked I booked the site last minute to try and break up the drive ahead of me the next day but wish I could have stayed longer!
Runnis meadow is in a beautiful peaceful spot, facilities are spotless. The owner was lovely and let me know about the local wildlife and dog walks.
There are plenty of kids play things to borrow on site which was lovely to see.
Disliked Phone signal on some networks isn't great on site so save anything you need onto your phone before going. But it was actually a nice break!

What customers say
This peaceful, well-maintained campsite is praised for its spacious pitches, beautiful rural location, and excellent, spotlessly clean shower and toilet facilities, which are frequently highlighted as a standout feature. Guests appreciate the friendly and helpful owners, the quiet atmosphere, and the site's suitability for families and dogs. While some mention limited mobile signal, many view this as a positive digital detox. Minor points include occasional high grass and limited washing-up sinks.
