Electric hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Nice big pitches , liked the barrier felt more protected against people wandering in.
Enjoyed our meal in the pub.

Disliked Felt the facilities could do with a makeover, there was only 1 shower for women + one for disabled people.

Electric hardstanding touring pitch

Liked very clean and well-maintained camp site that appears to be exceptionally well run. The campsite is next to a pub that owns the site and sits alongside a beautiful canal, creating a lovely setting for a relaxing stay.

The food at the pub was excellent, and the service was of a very high standard throughout our visit. We actually found this campsite by accident, but will become one of our favourite places to stay.

We will definitely be returning and would highly recommend it to others looking for a peaceful, well-managed campsite with great food and hospitality.

Disliked Shower block small even though very clean and maintained, somewhere to put your cloths would be a great addition

Liked Great quiet site situated next to a canal and opposite the Wharf Tavern with a choice of excellent food. Due to the hot weather and we had our dogs with us the bar staff were happy to
Plate us up two meals to have at our pitch. Perfect!

Disliked The ladies shower wasn’t working during the afternoon but worked a little later. A little shop would be nice.

What customers say

This peaceful countryside campsite is praised for its spacious, level pitches, clean facilities, and friendly hosts. Located next to a canal, it offers lovely walks and is adjacent to The Wharf Tavern, which serves excellent food. Some visitors noted that the shower facilities, located behind the pub across the road, could benefit from modernisation and more capacity, especially for ladies, although they were reported as clean and functional. Despite minor criticisms regarding dated facilities and occasional electricity issues, the overall experience is highly positive, with many guests expressing a desire to return.
