1 bedroom shepherd's hut

Liked Absolutely beautiful place. Plenty of wildlife and the perfect escape for thoes who come fully equipped and ready to relax and do Absolutely nothing but enjoy the surroundings. Accommodation is clean and well presented.

Disliked We thought that as lovely as the accommodation was it could have done with a little sprucing / freshening up on the outside. The decking being cleaned, new wood chip, cobwebs being brushed of the outside accommodation, seats and swing. More fairy lights would have been lovely too. The shower is difficult to set the temp so instructions would have been handy.

1 bedroom shepherd's hut

Liked Our second stay at the hut and just as perfect as the first, we booked it for longer this time.

An immaculate and well decorated cabin with beautiful countryside and lake views, set in it's own little garden (very private) with gorgeous mature trees and ample seating.

The hut is in a convenient location not too far away from the lively and interesting town of Bridgnorth, as well as being near a National Trust property and several museums. Extra note that Apley Farm is also worth a visit, which hosts regular events - we attended their classic car show (free), which was very impressive.

The hut is well equipped for it's small size, with little thoughtful extras included such as coffee, tea, toiletries. They even put beautiful flowers in there, which were so vibrant and stunning that for a few days we thought they were fake flowers!

It's likely we will be back again to rejuvenate in the country air :)

1 bedroom shepherd's hut

Liked Set up and furniture. Thank you for the welcome chocolates and balloon. Everything was well appointed.
Minor suggestions. Maybe put in a few coffee table books/ novels set in the local area.

1 bedroom shepherd's hut

Liked Absolutely gorgeous views and soooo peaceful! The shepherd's hut is very modern and cosy, and as my husband and I stayed over Christmas we anticipated that it may be quite cold in there. However, the 2 electric heaters warmed the hut up very quickly and we had no issues keeping warm. Great shower pressure and pretty much everything we needed for a wonderful stay. We cannot wait to return!!

Disliked Nothing at all, everything was above our expectations and we would gladly stay again!

Local attractions

The UNESCO-listed Ironbridge is similarly handy, about a 10-minute car trip to tour a cluster of museums and attractions focusing on the area’s industrial heritage, as well as taking hikes through the gorge and fishing (with day permits) for barbell, bream and eels. If you’re up for hikes on a grander scale, link up with the 139-mile Shropshire Way 15 minutes away in Much Wenlock; alternatively, the trails crisscrossing the limestone ridge of adjacent Wenlock Edge make for many satisfying wanders. The activity centre there can arrange further outdoor antics from quad biking and climbing to clay pigeon shooting. Further afield, the heath-covered heights of Carding Mill Valley and the Shropshire Hills can be reached and ascended within a 40-minute drive, while at lower altitudes and about the same distance, the ancient oak stands of the Wyre Forest National Nature Reserve are home to butterflies and bats, muntjac deer and polecats. Should you fancy a bit of history to go with your hikes, make the 15-minute trip to Dudmaston Hall, a handsome 17th-century pile with a hefty modern art collection and 3,000 acres of woods and gardens to walk, or take a 40-minute foray to Ludlow and its hilltop Norman castle for wanders and picnics with views.
