Non-electric grass touring pitch
Liked: Quiet secluded site, love the lack of marked out pitches. Grass parking was fine for 7.5ton motorhome. Toilets were functional and reasonably clean. Walk to pub in village was 15m and worth it.
Disliked: Signposting from East Bridgford could be clearer, after missing the entrance took several miles to find somewhere to turn an 8m motorhome

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked: Really lovely and tranquil, with everything I needed to solo camp. Very pretty and in beautiful surroundings. Close to the river too.
Disliked: Toilets are a little distance from non-electric camping so may need to use a car for little ones… not that far but it might be if they are desperate lol!

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked: Quiet, beautiful scenery. Extremely well-priced. Me and my partner had a rough month and decided we needed to get away camping. As always, a cheap holiday. We found this place last minute booked. It arrived a couple hours later to find that the campsite was more or less empty. I think we were quite lucky it might get busier later on in the year. We found the perfect spot with a great view. We went on lovely walks. Went to the river and a local pub. We met the owner and he was lovely. You could hear the road but for the value of money and the scenery, it didn't bother us. The toilets are fancy porter cabins. They are as nice as Porter cabins go.

From the manager: It was lovely to have you both and I'm so happy that you found some quality time together at Millview. I quit my mundane day job to set the site up and its posts like this that make me glad I did. See you both soon hopefully.

Non-electric grass touring pitch
Liked: Very laid back. Beautiful views. Nice dog walking (although through very long, wet grass). Loved the shaded individual camping pitches, so no immediate neighbours and no danger of row upon row of caravans.
Disliked: Long wet grass (see above)! Not a deal breaker. The dogs couldn't have cared less.

From the manager: Thanks for staying with us. I suspect that the long wet grass that you found was in our adjoining hay meadows, as mentioned in our profile. I strive to keep all the camping areas in tip top condition but the hay meadows we leave to grow throughout April, May & June. We are a working farm and the hay/haylage we grow will feed our animals during the long winter months. I keep the meadows open to campers to enjoy during the growing season but appreciate that it can become tough walking through it. The hay meadows are open for camping once we have cut the crop....usually by the end of June / early July.
Super off-grid, but with clean toilets.
