What customers say
This is a well-located, basic campsite, praised for its peaceful atmosphere, friendly owner, and proximity to the river and town. Guests appreciated the flat pitches, clean portable toilets with drinking water, and opportunities to observe wildlife. However, some found the site expensive for the limited facilities, particularly the lack of showers. Noise from a nearby road and train line was also a concern for lighter sleepers. It's noted that directions may need careful checking.

Great Basic Campsite amongst nature. Simply the best.
Non-electric grass touring pitch
Liked I liked the basic campsite that was easy to find. The gate was bolted at night and I overlooked a field with horses and in the evening watched nature at its best in the field. Rabbits playing, horses, butterflies and much more.
The portaloos were clean and there was a tap for drinking water.
5 minutes away was The Grand Union canal which I walked alongside and saw the boats moored there and a marina. It was beautiful.
I’ll definitely be going back. Thank you.

Liked Flat.
Nearest location for a visit to care home I had to visit.
Disliked Portaloos x 2 no water in 1 & needed a good clean considering very little foot traffic (me & one other small family). Self cleaned to a degree.
Expensive for a 1 person tiny backpacking tent considering the sparce facilities
Really disliked trains every few minutes early morning, really quite loud n close.
