Woodside Haven on-site touring caravan

Liked Headed here for a little easter break and had an amazing time. It was our first time going away with our puppy, and the owners made it so easy. They were very welcoming and helpful when we first arrived.
The caravan itself was lovely, modern and very clean. It does have its own bathroom; however, we found that it did not have any hot water in the shower. You will also need to empty the toilet at the end of your stay, should you use it. But this wasn't a problem as there are some very clean and modern communal facilities which we used instead.
There are local takeaways which deliver to the site, should you not feel like cooking.
The site is peaceful and quiet, and it was exactly what we wanted. We wish that you would allow tents so we could come back and camp!

What customers say

This peaceful, well-maintained site is set around a fishing pond with spacious pitches. Guests consistently praise the immaculate, modern toilet and shower facilities, and the communal summerhouse is a popular amenity. Owners are frequently described as friendly and helpful. While most visitors have no complaints, a few mention the lack of local amenities and limited dog-walking routes.

Electric gravel touring pitch

Liked Friendly, well maintained site with water point adjacent to each pitch. The communal summerhouse with TV, radio, microwave, books, games, heating and a lovely outdoor decking area overlooking the lake is a real treat.

Electric gravel touring pitch

Liked So very peaceful and a wonderful pitch with lots of space and a lovely view of the fishing pond. You could need levelling ramps though. Shower and toilet facilities were always very clean and tidy. Great site location with lots of places of interest, shops and pubs/restaurants not far away. Overall, great experience and value.

Disliked The only thing that I can think of that could add anything to the experience would be laundry facilities, purely for convenience, but there are several places where you can do laundry in the bigger towns.

Electric gravel touring pitch

Liked Woodside Caravan Park is a very modern, quiet and well‑kept site. The owner is genuinely lovely and welcoming, and it’s an absolutely perfect spot for anyone who enjoys fishing — the lakes are peaceful and beautifully maintained. The showers and toilets were spotless, warm, and everything you’d hope for. The summer house was a real highlight: TV, games, books, and plenty to keep older children entertained on lazy days. It’s a great touch and really adds to the experience. Once we moved to our second pitch, it was beautiful — sunny, spacious, and ideal for relaxing. We stayed in our VW campervan and enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere.

Disliked A couple of things to be mindful of: there’s nothing around the site — no pub, no shop, and no woodland walks nearby, so you do need to be prepared. It’s not the best choice for young children; I’d say it’s more suited to adults or families with older kids. My biggest dislike was the gravel — the pitches felt more like dust pits, especially our first pitch in Bay 10, which was cold and only got sun between 12:30 and 2:30. Thankfully, moving pitches made a huge difference.

Local attractions

A round of the local golf course to kickstart your Lincolnshire break? Elsham Golf Club (five minutes’ drive) has been around since 1900 and has 18 holes. Hull (35 minutes) is just as historic: there’s the Streetlife Museum with old trams, cars and carriages, as well as the Hull Maritime Museum. The Deep (half an hour) aquarium is another fine entertainment option with jellyfish, stingrays and sharks. If that has you wanting more of the water (but no more sharks, please and thank you), make your way to Cleethorpes (35 minutes) for paddleboarding and kayaking. Waters' Edge Country Park & Visitor Centre (15 minutes) has some sublime river views and dog-friendly walks, as well as a viewing port over the bridge. Perhaps you want something that will get your heart rate up even more – and what a wild setting the Regency mansion at Normanby Hall Country Park (20 minutes) is for a Go Ape treetop course.
