  • Quiet adults-only off-grid site at a farm in the Lincolnshire Fens
  • King's Lynn half an hour's drive; 40 minutes to Sandringham Estate
  • Fresh eggs and seasonal juices for sale, plus homemade curries
Passing through or putting down roots for a few days? Either way, you’ll find a peaceful place to pitch up at JJEB Farm, in the Lincolnshire Fens about a mile from the village of Sutton St James. The setup here is simple but serene and scenic – the site is off grid and available to adults only to keep it nice and quiet. There’s a toilet block but little else by way of guest facilities, so it’s a great place to unplug for a while, put your phone away and get the barbecue going for a relaxed evening in the open air. These relaxed rural pitches are part of a mixed farm where you’ll be surrounded by sheep, chickens and geese and able to buy farm produce like eggs and seasonal fruit juice. You’re welcome to bring along a barbecue if you like, but it’s worth knowing that the owners do a good line in tasty goat and lamb curries or jerk chicken if you fancy having some hot food cooked for you. For other eats, the village has a farm shop/café, a butcher, a convenience store and a pub, and there are more shops and supermarkets in Spalding (25 minutes’ drive). As you might hope from a rural farm site, there’s good access to outdoor activities in the surrounding area, whether you fancy walking, cycling, horse riding, golf or fishing. For outings further afield, this site is also well located for main roads including the A17 and A47, and it’s about 40 minutes’ drive from the A1.
