Camping pod

Liked: * clean toilets, * amusement area to spend your money * shop (spar) in park territory * bar/restaurant and costa in park territory. * peaceful. * pod we stayed was pretty clean. * price for a night

Disliked: might be a silly nitpick, in front of pod 3, there wasnt any ground covering and it was muddy. Nothing major, but still.

Fully-serviced gravel touring pitch

Liked: Absolutely loved it. We brought our 2 grandchildren away, for the weekend. Could not ask for anything better plenty to do. And pitch size was excellent.

Disliked: Need more small children swings etc, as a lot where for older children.

Fully-serviced gravel touring pitch

Liked: Well maintained site in a good location. Site staff are friendly and very helpful. Shop is convenient. Pitches are well spaced and the views over the lakes really nice. Swans and ducks in abundance plus the odd rabbit.

Disliked: Bus service into Mablethorpe is rubbish. Approximately every 3 hours. You can't use the call up service unless you are a scheme member. Taxis seem to work okay but at taxi rates!

Liked: Location of site and the pitches. The food and entertainment was also very good.

Disliked: The toilets were often in a bad state. Unfortunately it was the one main reason we would think about not returning which is a great shame as everything else was so nice

Non-electric grass tent or touring caravan pitch

Liked: On site facilities. Friendly staff and cleanliness throughout.

Disliked: Isolation of non electric tent pitches. Also more lighting around that area would help.

Electric grass tent or touring caravan pitch

Liked: Great site, clean and tidy. Close to everything including shop, entertainment, restaurant and toilet/shower block. The electrical hook up was too far away, however staff were accommodating to support with this, and it was resolved. Staff on site on arrival to ensure everything is all ok. And regular checks if you have any worried. Toilets/showers were clean, tidy and presentable.

Disliked: Could do with a few more electrical hook ups, but not a massive issue and staff resolved the issue 😊

Local attractions

Mablethorpe, Sutton-on-Sea, Ingoldmells, Skegness and other Lincolnshire lovelies are all close by for the coastal connoisseurs; and market towns, villages and the Lincolnshire Wolds easy to get to inland. At Mablethorpe, many visitors wander through the dunes to Mablethorpe Seal Sanctuary, home of many a brightly-coloured bird, birds of prey, primates, reptiles and roguish-looking meerkats as well as the seals. Kids and big kids will probably also like Mablethorpe's miniature railway, boating lake and funfair; fans of the latter should add in Ingoldmells, home of Fantasy Island theme park. This is also a cracking area for nature: more seals can be seen at the popular Donna Nook National Nature Reserve down the coast between Grainthorpe Haven and Saltfleet, and a huge nature reserve teeming with squawking seabirds is at Gibraltar Point near Skegness. Also nearby, bob about in boats or cast off again at the waters of the Lincolnshire Wolds, alongside many miles of trails and bridleways to walk, cycle or horse ride, or bob around Lincolnshire's market towns: recommended options include Alford, Louth and Lincoln.
