What customers say

This is a well-maintained and clean site with friendly, helpful staff. Visitors praise the spacious pitches, beautiful lake and woodland walks, and on-site bar/restaurant. Fishing facilities are a major draw. Some guests noted that toilet and shower facilities could benefit from updating, and WiFi can be unreliable. Road noise may affect pitches near the main road. Overall, it's highly recommended for a relaxing stay.

Electric hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Spacious park lots of walks, fishing ,great bar and food, friendly staff and a warm welcome nice size pitches.

Disliked Not the parks fault but unfortunalty there are some litter louts among the camping fraternity who think its ok to throw rubbish in the hedgerows, behind pitches instead of taking it to the bins!

Electric hardstanding touring pitch

Liked The site was very clean and tidy, the facilities, though dated, were fully suitable and always clean. Woodys bar and restaurant was excellent, as was the service from the tackle shop. The fishing lakes were really good and we had some great days fishing.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked Plenty of space on the pitch. Fishing lakes were great, caught some nice size carps. Used Woodys bar, great food, All the team were super friendly and helpful. Met the chatty baillifs, colleague in tackle shop was helpful when our net pole snapped, bar team were frienfly and wete busy keeping the area clean and tidy. Dog friendly 100%

Disliked Confusion with the pitch numbers not being marked clearly. Our pitch was fine when we spotted the hook up had a number.
Toilets/ showers look great outside a bit tired inside.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked This place is perfect. The hosts are the nicest people you could ask to meet and it’s evident when you stay here. Couldn’t do enough for us. Quite simply, it’s great to feel welcome and finally pay for something that when you leave you want to go back. The campfire and the fishing was great aswell!

Disliked Absolutely nothing to dislike about this place. Made my Bank Holiday Weekend, Thankyou Sue.

Electric hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Hardstanding pitch with EHU, friendly reception staff, menu choice and welcoming staff at woodies even though there was a mini crisis with there cookers, also facilities were very clean and close by. Dog enjoyed the wooded walk only a short 2 night stay but would highly recommend.

Disliked Wifi was a little weak, but we had good 4G reception. The rain when packing up on Sunday Boo.

Local attractions

History buffs will certainly want to make their hasty way to this part of Lincolnshire. It’s a treasure trove of old England… Grantham (15 minutes’ drive) is a top choice for first forays into the past – it’s the town where Isaac Newton attended school and is home to the spectacular 14th-century Grantham House as well as a local history museum that gives an overview of everything from the Normandy landings to the Iron Lady. If appetites for stately homes have been whetted by Grantham, satisfaction can be found within easy reach: the 17th-century Belton House and its gardens, parkland and adventure playground are 10 minutes from base, and Newton’s homestead of Woolsthorpe Manor (although much more modest) is within 20 minutes – just watch out for falling fruit… Step back into the present day and take to the open air for refreshing saunters around Easton Walled Garden – referred to by US president Franklin D Roosevelt as ‘a dream of Nirvana… almost too good to be true’ – and the scenic market town of Sleaford, both 15 minutes from home base. Need more bang for your urban buck? Lincoln is 35 minutes away for shopping and even more history, and Nottingham’s arboretum, caves and Robin Hood experience are within an hour.
