What customers say

Waites Farm is a peaceful, well-maintained campsite with spacious, private pitches, each with its own eco-toilet. Guests praise the friendly and helpful owners, Carol and Lloyd, the well-stocked honesty shop, and the popular Friday pizza nights. Facilities include hot showers and a games room. While most found the site excellent, some suggested adding more sinks and taps. The site's quiet and isolated location is highlighted as a benefit for relaxation, though guests should be aware of this.

The Baa Baa bell tent

Liked What an excellent stay us girls had at Waites Farm! Four of us glamped in the Baabaa tent and were truly impressed with the site. Not to mention the wonderful bell tent itself, which had everything we needed for our stay.

Yes, it is isolated, so bear that in mind, but we all said how lovely it was to simply switch off. The honesty shop was fantastic, and Carol was so caring and attentive. I will definitely be back for sure! An absolute gem.

A short list of things which we loved
- the bell tent
- the honesty shop
- own compost toilet
- Flushable toilet
- BBQ and gas stove
- utensils
- Pizza night!!!
- Carol
- comfy double bed
- cool box with free exchangeable ice packs
- peacefulness
- aesthetic of tent at night
- privacy

Disliked Nothing really! Just bear in mind it is not local it is isolated! We wanted this however but some might not. We loved that side of it - reduced the pressure of needing to be busy :)

The Cock A Doodle Doo bell tent

Liked Relaxed and enjoyable weekend - We had a fabulous time at Waites Farm with friends. Carol and Lloyd made us feel really welcome, the facilities were fantastic and the site was peaceful with lots of space between pitches. The bell tents were very comfortable and the indoor games area was a hit with the children and would have been very welcome if there had been rain showers during our stay. We would definitely come again.

The Quack Quack non-electric grass tent pitch

Liked At Waites Farm, Carol and Lloyd were incredibly welcoming and helpful. The site is perfectly maintained and the plots are huge and very private. The well stocked honesty shop is very good and I can't recommend the pizzas of Friday enough.

All in all I would recommend this site to anyone wanting a lovely relaxing break.

The Gobble Gobble non-electric grass tent pitch

Liked This place is such a gem! The field is beautiful with wild flowers and grasses. The compost toilets are modern and clean and there’s posh flushing loos in the games room.
The games room was brilliant for chilly mornings we played pool, games and watched a movie on the sofas.
Pizza night was delicious. Carol and Lloyd were so friendly and chatty and also so helpful. We did some garden ornament painting which the kids loved. Had a brilliant weekend, such a find.

Disliked Nothing!

The Quack Quack non-electric grass tent pitch

Liked We liked the communication with Carol - she contacted us when we booked to ask whether we would like pizza making on the Friday, she explained everything to us on arrival and showed us around.

The site itself is beautiful. There are lots of trees, many of them being fruit trees. Because it is out of the way, the sky was incredible at night. We could easily have stayed there all day but we wanted to visit Gunby Hall. That’s not too far away and definitely worth a visit.

Each plot has its own toilet and there is a shared shower and pot wash area. They were spotless and the water was lovely and warm.

We didn’t take advantage of the honesty shop or the game's room, but they looked great. If we hadn’t taken a power bank, I definitely would have used the chargers.

The Woof Woof bell tent

Liked We loved our stay at Waites farm glamping. As a family who have never camped or glamped before, it was a Feb introduction. Everything we could possible need was supplied, the beds were very comfy and our own toilets was a great bonus! The hosts were so friendly, we loved Friday pizza night and the honestly shop is a great touch. We can’t wait to go back next year!

The Cluck Cluck non-electric grass tent pitch

Liked Good pitch sizes, handy toilet right next to each pitch, lovely owners. The honesty shop was great, not too expensive and had everything you might need including fire wood & marshmallow kits! The communal sink had hot water, showers were nice and hot. The games room was great and the owners cooked home made pizzas on Friday which were delicious!

It was a very special camping trip for us as we got engaged on the Cluck Cluck pitch!!

Disliked Could do with an extra sink at the shower area. More taps around the site would be useful as some of the pitches are quite far away from the only tap.

The Neigh Neigh non-electric grass campervan, tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked A delightful, quiet, spacious and well run campsite that adheres to the principles of the Greener Camping Club. If you're frustrated that so many other campsites are spoilt by lager louts and music then this is surely the oasis you've been dreaming of.

Local attractions

There are several great spots to choose from along the Lincolnshire coast, but a couple of the best are Gibraltar Point National Nature Reserve (half an hour’s drive) and the classic seaside resort of Skegness (25 minutes). In the latter, you can meet cute creatures at Natureland Seal Sanctuary, hit the amusements at the pleasure beach and take a look at marine life in the aquarium. A little further up the coast, Ingoldmells (half an hour) is another good option, with Hardy’s Animal Farm and Fantasy Island Theme Park. Closer to home, there are a couple of great attractions close by in the ARK Wildlife & Dinosaur Park and Lincolnshire Wildlife Park (both five minutes). For a dip into the area’s history, visit English Heritage - Sibsey Trader Windmill (10 minutes) and the We'll Meet Again World War II museum (20 minutes) or explore vintage transport exhibits at Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre (10 minutes) and The Bubblecar Museum (20 minutes). Fancy a beer after all that? Sign up for a tour and tasting at Batemans Brewery (15 minutes).
