Absolutely fabulous campsite. We loved the…
Bell Tent with Beds 1 bedroom bell tent
Liked Absolutely fabulous campsite. We loved the way that camping plots have been mown into the long grass, with little trees dotted around, so that you felt cocooned in your own area of nature, and could hardly see other campers from your spot. The mattresses were really comfortable and we all slept so well. Em and Dave are great hosts and we appreciated the firepit and ability to rent a BBQ for the night. Our daughters (10 and 12) loved the routine of each morning going to the barn to buy a coffee, then walking back to our tent for breakfast, and then going to feed the alpacas. Saturday night pizza night in the barn was great too.
This is a perfect campsite if you like family bike rides. One day we cycled from the campsite to join the Water Rail Way Trail to cycle to Boston and back. It's a fab traffic free cycle way with smooth tarmac along the river. The second day we drove to Bardney and picked up the Water Rail Way trail again there, this time cycling to Lincoln and back. Also, the bubble car museum near the campsite is a great place to visit.

Worth the stay, the people and the environment are amazing
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked We stayed in our own tent on this campsite, we looked at the glamping options whilst we meandered around the site and they look amazing but just to clarify, we haven't stayed in them.
Before we even arrived we had contact from Dave and Ems, giving us all the info for arrival and what's available.
They provided updates, via whatsapp, whilst we were there to what was available on site for that day and what times (i.e. alpaca feeding, stone painting classes, the barn opening hours, pizza night and the option for plot delivery of items!!!) They literally take customer focus/care to the next level. The staff as a whole are really cool and interesting people who are willing to take the time to chat and help whenever they can, going out of the way to make sure our stay was as good as it could be.
The site was clean, fun and interesting. They give you decent spaces between plots so you arent on top of each other and you really do feel like you are in a tranquil little spot. They have eco toilets (which for my partner was a first but the staff ensure they are cleaned throughout the day) eco showers which had decent power and warm water, if its not sunny then the staff arrange warm water on request.
I'd thoroughly recommend this site and will be going back. I've got family that live nearby and I might just stay here anytime I go and visit them.
Check out the shop. Sit in the barn, play some table tennis and chat with people in a really beautiful environment or go and hang out in the hammocks. Whatever you do, you wont regret it.
