Liked We booked the glamping tent and we had such a wonderful time. Tent was so clean and spacious, we had electricity and was provided with lights, beds, brand new and clean bedding , toaster and kettle . We also had a picnic table outside . The owners were lovely and we was looked after by a lovely lady called Hayley who went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed . We can’t wait to come back!

From the manager: Thank you for your positivity, it was lovely to meet you all. Hayley sends her best wishes. It will be a pleasure to welcome you back

Bell tent (six person)

Liked We’ve just returned from a 2 night stay at Bradshaw farm. I booked a furnished bell tent which consisted of a double airbed and two single airbeds (parent and 2 kids) with a kettle and toaster. The field is as flat as can be for a field, toilet facilities are kept as clean as possible (more toilets to be added this week owners said) and shower facility was clean and useable. I paid extra for electric hook up.
The kids were able to pop across to the farm and say hello to the animals, Wendy & Richard were very welcoming and friendly. Kids pools were available to hire for around £12 a day but wasn’t warm enough for us to hire unfortunately. We will return such a lovely place to stay.

Disliked We hired the furnished tent that came with linen. Only thing I would suggest is a slightly thicker duvet as we probably would have been cold if we hadn’t of taken extra blankets.

Liked Nothing

Disliked The tent were not in good condition, the smell was awful. I thought getting the tents already built would save us a job. It was very hard to sleep with the mould and and smell inside

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Hello ANONYMOUS! How lovely of you to creep away like one of the invertebrates that live in the field and then put such rubbish in a review! These tents are cleaned and disinfected between every guest and treated as necessary with relevant products. Go back to your no doubt beautiful abode and contemplate your next budget break and think up more vicious things to put in your reviews. It might escape your attention but as a new campsite 8.4 isn’t a bad start - put that in your pipe and smoke it. Little bit of advice - it’s always good to consult with proprietors if you have a problem as generally we like to look after our customers x

Liked Not much !

Disliked No luxury glamping here, dislikes mostly the dark shower shed, full of handing spiders, no locking door, no lights, 2 dirty loos way to over used for the amount of people there. I was nearly sick it was that bad. provided with furnished bell tent, provided with toaster and kettle then tried to charge us £12 a night to use electric (that was already switched on!) £24 for a cup of hot water I don’t think so!
Left early due to the constant wasps surrounding camp area.
Bell tents to close together.
The pictures are deceiving

From the manager: Who says ‘luxury’ glamping??? Well, well, well Anonymous, you’re not anonymous to us! We point out we are a new site and going forward will be aiming higher and higher, but quite glad without you and your negativity! We wish you the best life you can have, try being a little less harsh and negative

Bell tent (six person)

Liked The hosts! The location! The ambition!

Richard was so friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. He showed us, and the kids, around his farm and showed his passion for farming.

The location was great, only a 5 mins drive to the town and nearby walks (including along the canal to Sutton Wharf)

Disliked Facilities - very basic but this is known before booking and is fone.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Why put a review like this? Nice but not very nice - why? You know what you are booking so why even bother to be so mean?

What customers say

This is a very basic, no-frills campsite offering excellent value for money. Visitors praise the peaceful atmosphere, ample space, and friendly, welcoming owners. Facilities are described as adequate for the price, including clean portaloos and showers. The farm shop is a convenient addition. Some minor issues with grass length and occasional noise from other campers were noted, but these did not detract significantly from the overall positive experience for most.

Liked For the price, this is an excellent campsite. The owners are very friendly and welcoming, and everything met our expectations. Yes, the toilets are bio toilets and there is only one shower, but if you're staying for just a couple of days rather than a whole week, it's really not an issue. We enjoyed our stay and would happily come back.

Non-electric grass pitch (pet friendly)

Liked I loved this pitch and the people were so friendly. The hosts were also very nice.

Disliked I didn’t like that people were drumming at 1am. I don’t have kids but feel it would be unfair if someone had to go to work or had kids etc but that was not the hosts fault. I didn’t use the showers but the toilets unfortunately were covered in sick. Again not the hosts fault just something that I noticed

Non-electric grass pitch (pet friendly)

Liked The seclusion, the setting, the ease of signing in and setting up, would 100% go again, and 100% will go again.

The price was £12.00 a night. Excellent.

Disliked The party of people celebrating the Summer Solstice with Drums and Chanting until 1am.

The large group of people doing karaoke and making lots of noise.

We picked a bad weekend but I'm sure any other weekend this would be the perfect setting!

The toilets could be cleaner.

Non-electric grass pitch (pet friendly)

Liked Easy to check in and find.

Disliked The 2 portable toilets were grim, the shower shed had no tap on the sink so couldn’t wash hands or use it to brush teeth/wash face. Site NEEDS a noise curfew, had people banging drums and singing karaoke with loud music at 12am. Grass needs cutting on the pitches not just where you drive.

For watching high-octane pursuits like motor-bike racing, you’ll have to catch the right day at Mallory Park Racing Circuit (10 minutes’ drive). If you’d like to know more about the infamous King Richard III, whose remains were found in a Leicester car park, visit his royal tomb at the King Richard III Visitor Centre (40 minutes). Still in the city, you can clamber aboard rockets at the National Space Centre, and let off steam in East Street Lanes bowling alley (both make great choices for any rainy days with the offspring).
