Set in the historic village of Longtown with its 12th century castle, a church, post office and pub, this site provides an excellent base for walking in the surrounding unspoilt countryside including the famous Offas Dyke and the Black Mountains. Herefordshire is a mainly agricultural county famous for producing beef, cider and hops. However the farming is very diversified. Herefordshire is renowned for it's natural beauty, the River Wye, Black and White villages, ancient buildings and churches. Places of local interest are Dore Abbey and Kilpeck church, a fine example of a small Norman church.
