What customers say
This riverside campsite boasts a fabulous location with ample space and pitches, particularly within the orchard. Guests praise the friendly staff, well-stocked shop, and canoe rental. Amenities like the bar and occasional food offerings are popular. However, some reviewers noted issues with an insufficient number of toilets and showers for a busy site, and paid showers with timed limits. Hand-washing basins lacked hot water in some instances, and there were concerns about chemical disposal points for caravans.

A pleasant and good value site suitable for tents and camper vans.
Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked The location by the river is great with easy access for swimming and paddling. Good choice of pitches from shady in the orchard to wide open spaces in the field. Facilities are basic but as advertised and kept clean. Nice to have food/beer on sale on the site. Last but not least - the people who work there are very friendly, caring and helpful.
Disliked Not a dislike but an ask - fridge/freezers would be a welcome addition, or at least hire out frozen ice packs. Plus a few more showers are needed too.

Liked A really lovely place, actually the site of our school camp in the 80’s so a wonderful trip down memory lane. So lovely staying on the banks of the river Wye once more. The site was pretty quiet as main season was over so it felt wonderfully peaceful. Facilities were great, good shower and plenty of loos. Owner was very helpful and welcoming despite late arrival, even offered us emergency milk from his own kitchen if we needed it.
An absolute gem

We loved this campsite and would definitely stay again!
Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked We stayed in the Orchard as it was easier access to the toilet block for the kids, and closer to the river to launch our paddleboards.
Loved we could choose our pitch, launch from the site, have a fire pit in the evening, the pizza on site was awesome, owners and staff were friendly and welcoming.
Disliked Some people mentioned paying £1 for shower, but honestly, the site is one of the cheaper ones we’ve stayed at, and 5 mins is long enough- plus quick queues for showers - if any!
