Good for short breaks
Shepherd's hut (adults only, hot tub)
Liked Loved the location, it felt very private and hot tub was amazing, had enough basic amenities that you needed for a short break away
Disliked Nothing
Maybe a larger mirror on the wall but not that essential

Shepherd's hut (adults only, hot tub)
Liked Perfect little private getaway. Me and my partner stayed in June, the hut at the back of the field. You could barely hear any traffic and we never saw another person for our entire stay. All the information you needed was perfectly laid out in the welcome folder. All check in information came through in emails leading up to the stay. We will definitely be looking at coming back. Thank you so much.

Excellent luxury off grid stay
Shepherd's hut (adults only, hot tub)
Liked Excellent off grid stay. We spent a night in one of the shepherd's huts, and it was lovely. All the mod cons, while being completely secluded and great walks. The hot tub was fantastic end to the evening as well.

Lovely place for a get away, host easily contactable and happy to help
Shepherd's hut (adults only, hot tub)
Liked Lovely location, able to walk to a lovely local pub (through some small farm paths so wear sensible shoes) but means avoiding busy roads.
The hut was as expected, comfy bed and nicely decorated. The hot tub was lovely and easy to use if you’ve used before (also good instructions). Would definitely stay again.
Disliked Would rather a normal toilet than a compostable but this was expected before booking, awkward at first but was fine to use.

What customers say
This peaceful, off-grid campsite is praised for its beautiful countryside location and immaculately clean facilities, including hot showers and well-kept compost toilets. Guests highlight the quiet atmosphere, privacy, fire pits, and opportunities for stargazing and enjoying nature. Some note the single-track access road and occasional lack of hot water or bins as minor drawbacks. The site is recommended for those seeking a tranquil escape.

Bell tent
Liked Good communication from hosts.
Bell tent was very roomy, clean , literally everything you might need in there and the comfiest bed we have ever slept in with lovely quality bed linen and towels provided
Disliked May have been good to have separate sinks for brushing teeth etc rather than having to use the same sinks that we washed dishes in !(minor gripe!!)

Non-electric grass campervan, tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Beautiful setting. Very relaxed. Friendly host who visits at least once per day. Very clean site with everything you could need. Great (hot) showers. Brilliant washing up area. Compost toilets. Plenty of bins available for recycling that are emptied as needed. My son also stayed in the yurt for one night and it was very impressive. White cotton sheets and thick mattresses on sprung beds with all equipment provided. We were camping in a tent and there was lots of space for our large tent. You need to go to the top of the hill (which is a gorgeous place to sit and watch the sunset or sunrise) or out in the car to get reception but being off grid was exactly what myself and my teenagers needed. We were local so it was a 30min drive home but despite only being away 3 days and 3 nights it felt like a weeks break away. Definitely visit if you need to unplug and unwind.
Cirencester open air pool is worth a visit. They have general (walk in) swim times and is in a gorgeous setting and very good value. Cirencester itself is a lovely market town with lots of quirky shops mixed in with high street shops and plenty of places to eat.

Great place to go off grid.
Non-electric grass campervan, tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked We stayed for 1 night. Couldn't be any more rustic. There were only 2 other vans. So very quiet. No signal which didn't hurt for one night. From memory there were 3 toilets and showers which were eco and clean. There was a washing up area too. In there middle of no where. No shops or pubs in walking distance. Great place to go off grid.
Disliked The rain (LOL)
