Meteor bell tent (basic)

Liked Stayed in the Bell Tent on site, good that it was already set up and with internal matting - and very spacious for the two of us. Quiet rural setting for the campsite in the countryside. Small site with not too many pitches. Owner was helpful and very kind to us as we had travelled by bike with limited gear. Good firepit available on blocks and wood/ logs and firelighters available to buy on site which is a good idea. Washing facilities were clean.

Meteor bell tent (basic)

Liked Friendly welcome, large bell tent with hessian flooring on level ground, use of picnic bench and fire pit in quiet countryside, off the beaten track. First time camping in years, and would definitely come back!

Definitely worth it!

Non-electric grass tent pitch

Liked Friendly, family run campsite - owners were welcoming and helpful.
Only a small campsite, but still plenty of space per pitch and the farm is set within marvellous little valley that feels remote but surprisingly accessible to/from nearby Sheffield/Dronfield.
Fairly basic but perfectly good facilities.
Seemed quite happy for us to have a bit of an explore round the farm, showing the kids the tractors and animals etc

Great little site

Non-electric grass tent pitch

Liked Lovely small and quiet site, in a really pretty setting surrounded by fields and woodland. Simple facilities: portaloos, at the top of the field away from the tents, and kept very clean, plus two adjacent sheds, one with a shower and the other with a sink for hands/washing up. Designated pitches, which are well spaced out around the edge of the field, so there’s lots of room around each tent. Nice owners, who pointed out where we should pitch then largely left us to ourselves other than a brief hello when we headed out.

There are barn owls somewhere nearby, we heard them in the night, an added bonus :)

Meteor bell tent (basic)

Liked The camping field is in a beautiful setting surrounded by trees. It's 5 minutes drive off the main road through Dronfield so it's easy to get to but also quiet. I arrived to a ready pitched bell tent that was clean and spacious. The facilities included portaloos, outdoor sink for washing up and hot shower, all immaculately maintained. There was a fire pit available and you could buy wood from the campsite. The bell tent also comes with a wooden picnic bench so you don't necessarily need to bring chairs and a table.
