What customers say

This eco-campsite offers a peaceful, back-to-nature experience with spacious, private pitches in a wildflower meadow. Reviewers highlight the immaculately clean compost toilets and hot showers, and the car-free field makes it ideal for families. The owners are consistently described as kind, helpful, and welcoming. While most guests found nothing to dislike, one noted hearing a nearby road. Some morning showers were reported as cold, but the issue has been addressed by management.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch (no pets)

Liked Fantastic campsite, the pitches are spaced perfectly and with your tent angled right there may as well be noone else there! Facilities were clean and plenty for a small site.
Hosts were very helpful and allowed us to park up after check out to go for a walk.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch (no pets)

Liked The campsite is beautiful and full of wildlife. Very peaceful and welcoming. Toilets and showers were spotless. Water / sink set up was lovely and hot water was fab. Lack of cars on site made it very safe for children. Very accommodating owners made it feel very welcoming. We may have been under the helicopter flight path for download festival drop offs, we saw loads which our 2 year old son thought was amazing. It’s a really small site so was very peaceful.
2 really good pubs within a ten min drive.

Disliked There is a road nearby that we could hear all the time, the wind was blowing from that direction which didn’t help, but we didn’t feel like we were in the middle of nowhere. But absolutely nothing the owners can do about that, purely preference.

Non-electric grass campervan pitch

Liked We loved every moment of our stay at this eco campsite! Such a beautiful place to camp, with the meadow in full flower and the only noise coming from a Blackcap warbling cheerfully in the hedgerow. It’s a truly wild and low-impact site and just so relaxing. The toilets, showers and washing up area were all spotless and checked regularly. Lots of walks to do in the area and the Peak District is very close too. Highly recommend this place - we will be back!

Disliked Having to leave :(

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch (no pets)

Liked Absolutely fantastic place! Very quiet, family-friendly, and with a limited number of tents, which gives everyone plenty of privacy. The composting toilets were spotless and smelled fresh, the showers had hot water, and there was also a convenient dishwashing area. Everything is very eco-friendly. On top of that, the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. Highly recommended!

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch (no pets)

Liked Fantastic site, perfect for families, the pitch was plenty big enough for my husband & I, the kids, and their grandparents.
Best toilet and shower facilities I've experienced, extremely clean and no smell at all!
Loved not having cars all over the place and just enjoying all the nature, especially the birds. Can't wait to come and stay again.

Disliked Nothing.

Non-electric grass campervan pitch (no pets)

Liked Quiet, peaceful, back to nature site, nicely spaced out, good sized pitches set in a wild flower meadow, and not overcrowded. Facilities were good, compost toilets, showers and washing up area kept immaculately clean. Owners incredibly kind, caring and helpful about the local area. Garden centre and tearooms up the road were lovely and a walk in the woods was great too. Would not hesitate to return.

Disliked Nothing to dislike.
