Solway Holiday Park

Gostou Absolutely lovely site. Stayed for two nights, originally booked one but decided to stay. The tourer pitches are at the back of the site, very quiet. Good peaceful nights sleep.
On site pub/restaurant does decent pub grub, prices reasonable. Sports bar upstairs. You get access to all amenities including pool when you book.
The tourer facilities (toilets/shower block) were outstanding, very clean and modern with lovely hot water for showers.
It’s a 10 min walk to seafront, lovely promenade. Gorgeous sunset at night.
We would defo book again.
I can imagine it will be busy weekend and during holiday season.

Não gostou Noisy drunk youngins in a tent arguing on at 2am but someone called security and they were dealt with.

Não gostou No working lock on the door of the disabled toilet/shower on the tourer site. There are 2 locks on the door but neither of them work. Also no hand drying facilities in there. Toilets/showers were not clean no matter what time of the day. Definitely need cleaning more frequently.

Gostou The swimming baths and the lovely surroundings of where my motorhome was parked, good value for money.

Não gostou Despite online it says shop open from 7am bit disappointing it opens at 9am shuts at 7pm

Gostou Lovely relaxing caravan park, swimmings baths were great and had a shallow sections for small children.

Gostou The staff at the arcades/bar were friendly and helpful. The site itself is massive and just outside is the sea and the views are amazing. Pool was good, you have to get in with your children if under 8 and the lifeguards are a bit too attentive with adults so the experience of the pool was very bizarre because we couldn't do anything and I am all for safety 🛟 but too extreme we are on holiday not boot camp. Prices for pottery and other activities are very high so didn't do any, but what a good idea for the children, park was good. Football pitch was a bonus.

Não gostou Toilets and so many children on e bikes and scooters then it states non in rule books. They were whizzing over the roundabouts not looking. And yes it's parents but don't have a rule book if your not going to enforce it. The toilets were disgusting not cleaned properly, if your going to spend millions on doing a place up then keep it clean and take pride. Once a day is not enough and in midday not even morning. Sort this and I will give top stars.

Não gostou Arrogant staff. Wngertianment was average at best. Tall guy behind bar was absolutely arrogant and cocky
