Liked: Despite being close proximity to a road, but safe and sheltered from it, it was a lovely quite little camp site for my family in a tent.
The amenities have definitely had a recent uplift and are excellent, but quite limited in numbers. We never had to wait for them though.
The chap looking after the place, Gordon, was brilliant. He was friendly, always willing to help, easy to contact and very professional. I don't think I saw him have any help or downtime while we were there, so thank you Gordon for all your hard work.Disliked: My daughter mentioned about the shower not having enough hooks to hang her clothes up.

Liked: Everything. Check in was smooth, the warden was a great lad, very informative, helpful and funny. The site itself was very well cared for and facilities were basic, but I believe new ones are in the process. Would definitely return.

Liked: Lovely friendly site with great pitches. Site warden is as good as any we have come across. Great views over the tyne valley. Lovely walks along the river and 2 good pubs within 10 minute walk.
Disliked: I appreciate they are devoloping the site but perhaps to quickly. They have opened up a large area for camping but the new facilies in place are very nice but not big enough. There was also a bit of rowdiness.

Liked: Lovely terraced site with pitches separated by laurel bushes. Has a new toilet/shower block being installed, but was still operational. Gordon, the site manager, was extremely welcoming and helpful at all times and was a lovely jolly person.
Disliked: Some guests staying on the first night of the school holidays were very noisy until after the quiet time, but Gordon did advise them twice to quieten down as others were sleeping.
