Tons of space convenient location and nice views of the hills made for a relaxing stopover.

Some great pitches for fully serviced motorhomes or caravans.

The site was being developed for additional cabins but despite the appearance no work was taking place at the weekend so no problem. Wash room facilities are from a bygone era but clean and functional so not a big issue and ok for a few nights stay.

Gordon the warden, very friendly and helpful. Beautiful surrounding area, and the bus to Newcastle passes the gate. Large south facing pitch. Hot showers.

Lots of work going on, site in the process of being modernised. It's going to be lovely when finished. None of this affected our 8 night holiday.

Good location, friendly warden. Pitches have been recently redone and have electric, water and waste water

Toilet block is really old with only one toilet and shower for each male and female. Clean enough in the circumstances. Only saving grace is that the number of hard standing pitches has gone down as they are building bases for more statics.

Great size level pitch

Ideal location for what we wanted to do - see family, National Trust and seaside.

Site manager Gordon was fab. Local knowledge, great with the kids and friendly chat.

Not a dislike but could be better once the site is busier (there are plans afoot by new owners) - there needs to be more showers, toilets, washing up facilities and maybe a play area for children.

Clean site, loads of space and lovely views

Facilities are pretty basic, only a single sink for washing up, and no drainer, and one shower each for lads and lasses. Could do with a family room.

The ground is absolutely rock solid! Even 9mm steel rock pegs just bent and broke, and were a nightmare to get out again after. Take a claw hammer for peg retrieval!
