Spacious pitches, immaculate toilets and huge shower cubicle (perfect to keep dry stuff to one side). The warden (Gordon) is a font of local knowledge, he was so welcoming and gave us lots of great local tips! We had only booked this as a pit stop to get into Newcastle but loved it so much, we'll definitely be back. They are working on a new toilet block & more pitches but the work didn't disturb us at all - can't wait to see it all done one day.

Pitch was exceptionally well kept, clean and tidy. Pitches were nicely spaced with hedges between and a private patch of grass and picnic bench. Short walk to nearby village, shop and pub. Warden was very helpful and attentive.

Showers and toilets although very clean are very dated and only 1 shower in male and 1 shower in female. Was told there will be a new block later in season.

Nice quiet site with an"out in the sticks" feel yet only a short drive in to Newcastle.

Gordon, the warden was extremely friendly and welcoming.

It was nice to see the deer coming out of the woods and grazing early morning and late evening.

Huge pitches

Toilet and shower block is very old but I believe it is going to be replaced with a modern one.

Spacious pitches, quiet location with great access to Newcastle centre (25-30 mins away) and Hexham/Corbridge (15-20 mins away). Loved the location and owner was really welcoming and friendly.

Nothing - work is going on at present to update the toilet and shower block but this didn’t spoil our stay at all

Very good, Golden The Walden is Alexa chap keeps on top of everything toilets a spot on everything you need to know. Speak to Gordon information is very good.

Nice location, 15 min walk to village with lovely pub. Pitches are very large and well maintained. We had serviced one which was hard standing plus grass area with picnic bench.
Warden is great, very helpful with good local knowledge

Not really a dislike but shower block is dated but spotlessly clean with plenty of hot water.
Once new block is installed I believe this summer, then the site will be perfect

Cost - expensive for what is offered, considering the time of year as well (February)

Antiquated shower block, only one shower and one WC, water was hot but probably require more showers to meet the needs during the summer months.

Great scenic location, Gordon the warden was very informative and helpful, beautiful sight
