We were given lots of infornation about the site prior to arrival. Well kept site. Clean and tidy. Pitches had electric, water and drain. Staff very friendly and helpful. Just installed new toilet/showerlaundry block. Site handy for various places of interest to visit. It was peaceful until neighbours turned up with dogs that yapped all the time. 😠

Fully serviced pitches.
Very clean and grounds well kept.
Very well laid out.
Gordon couldn't have been more helpful - great asset to the site.
Will be even better once the new toilet block is commissioned.

Quiet site, not many campers booked in and perfect location for visiting Beamish and Alnwick castle.
Warden was very friendly.

Despite many reviews the toilets and showers were clean and we did not have to queue, may not be the same when the site has more campers BUT the steps down to it are not really safe.
The rubbish had not been removed for days and piles were getting bigger every day outside them. I hate to think what a haven for vermin this was.
Relatively new water connection to our pitch, looked to have been leaking for sometime, was advised this would be sorted but still leaking as we left

Lovely site, plenty of space.
Yes the loos are dated but clean and perfectly functional.
The caretaker Gordon was a lovely fella, very helpful and informative.
Overall a very peaceful stay and we would certainly return.

Obviously like many have stated the shower block ls dated and could have done with a clean but we were told the new one opened on Monday but sadly this was as we had already left

Toilets and showers not enough but as we were there they had got delivered some units with extra toilet and showers and sinks so that is a positive feeling.

Toilets could need a renovation. They work and all is fine, but worn.
