Cosy pod. Parking at side. Bar on site. Nice walks. Friendly staff

Dec 2025

Liked We are 2 adults and a Cockerpoo. Pod no.2, equipped with a wall heater, fridge, kettle & toaster. Two generous seating areas around a table that folds down to make a double bed. We kept the bed made up. Pod was a nice size for us and once we got set up it was nice and cosy. We did need to use our own heater to boost the warmth but it is winter. A spotlessly clean, lovely sized fridge with freezer compartment. A microwave would have made the pod almost perfect ! Parking right at the side of pod which was great. We asked to be put near facilities on our booking and we were :-) Peace & quiet. River walks. Nature. Close to beach, very dog friendly with Skegness approx 35 minute drive.

Disliked After reading all 34 reviews some pods had microwaves so I just assumed ours would ! I needed one so we had to un-attach ours from camper van. We used our own kettle & toaster as kettle provided had old water in it and bad limescale on bottom, toaster full of crumbs. *Definitley need a broom & dust pan to keep floor clean. I would never leave a place dirty when going home so it would be easy enough just to hang one on outside wall !...I didn't like the glass shelf that the kettle was on. I hit my head on it a couple of times and a small child could definitley catch their head on it. I do think that if the fridge had been on the other side of the pod. The kettle and toaster could sit on top leaving room for some kind of cupboard unit for storage on the other side. That would be very useful. Other pods we have stayed in have had a 4 inch shelf down the lengths of the pod as well, which were very handy to put things on. I've seen on the review photos that you have pine cupboards in some of your pods ! It's a nice touch for storage and there is room to do it. **During Winter** a door mat & inside mat would also help. We used our own. Decking VERY slippy, needs anti-slip mats. Step also VERY slippy, both an accident waiting to happen ! The pod would benefit from a row of paving slabs around it to walk on as it was so muddy, that would be very useful and would look much better. There were a few railings missing around the decking which, honestly, looked shabby and meant the dog could escape. We had our own dog gating so we made it safe. The washing up facilities are terrible, one sink !!!! and not even under cover !! I've never seen anything like it and I am so sorry, but that close to the Elson point is a massive no :-( Extremely unhygienic. The Elson point * We could find no means of cleaning the toilet cassette, it desperately needs a hose pipe ! The plasticky decking on the toilet block was also really slippy. The Ladies toilets were freezing. One door handle off and two not locking properly ! No toilet paper in two and a small amount in the other, thankfully ! A teeny, tiny amount of hand wash in one bottle on sinks. No paper towels and the dryer completely useless. The toilets themselves however, were very clean. The area around the outside of the bar needed to look nice, like some plant baskets etc not over flowing bin, dirty ash trays and very wonky picnic tables ! It was Christmas Day and the bar had been set up with tables for people who had booked dinner. The tables looked so pretty, very lovely and Christmassy but, it made for slight room around the bar area. I ordered a pint of Carling and a pint of Perronni which was £11.50 and both beers were nice. I also had a glass of mulled wine *on the house which was a nice touch and delicious, thank you :-) I know it's Winter and I'm not sure when a site is open all year round when time is available for maintenance work, unlike sites that close for that purpose. There are definite issues around this site that need addressing that would make such a difference to some of the reviews ! I've made these honest points as this is a review and they are only meant as constructive critisism, out of concern. They would not stop us from re-visiting or recommending as we really did enjoy our stay and the price of £20 per night for two of us and the dog over CHRISTMAS was honestly, amazing so, thank you. The couple across from us bought us some eggs as I'd forgotten them which was so, so nice of them xx Very thoughtful. I returned the favour xx and the site Manager Phil was very pleasant, nice and helpful as was H :-)

Excellent pitch, generous size & flat. Lovely staff. Nice facilities

Sep 2025

Liked We liked the departure time of 12 o'clock, makes life so much easier not rushing. Although, we did pack away the night before because we were very unsure of the weather and so were away at 9.45 ! We had a great pitch, 20. Nice and flat and a generous size for our awning and dog fence. We didn't realise until we'd set up that we should have been on pitch 21 but we'd gone the other side in error. Still, no one bothered us about this as there was plenty of room on the site :-) Lovely coffee/food shop on site (just a little more training needed on making a Cappuccino. Too much milk so was a Latte !) Irritating when you want to taste the coffee and not the milk ? I am biased being a Barista :-) Wifi was amazing. Loved the walking around. Miles of nice flat walking along the promenade. If the tide is out the beaches were great for the dog. Suitable for everyone as plenty of sitting down spots along the way. Really fab for bikes too. The town is small and if i'm honest a little tired but there are a few shops and pubs. We called in The Nelson, sat in lovely beer garden for 2 well deserved pints in the sunshine. A very nice guy served us :-) We will definitley be back and highly recommend.

Disliked Nothing to be honest (apart from my coffee :-) ! ) Facilities were all good, nice and clean . Staff were nice and friendly & pitches good sizes and flat. I suppose if I was to moan about anything it would only be the check in time of 1 o'clock. 12 would be much better. Half of your 1st day has almost gone by 1pm.

Great site, Clean flat pitches. Friendly staff .Nice walking.

Aug 2025

Liked Camper van EHU pitch. Good flat pitch near to the toilet/shower facilities which are really, quite nice. We've stayed here three times before and had more or less the same pitch every time. We like the walk all around the lake which is roughly 4 miles ! Then call into the ski Bar for a well deserved pint :-) Not eaten in the Ski Bar, seems expensive to us ! BUT, if you fancy spending around £13 to £ 17 for just a burger then the food does look nice when it comes out ! We love the nature reserve?// Beach walk which goes on for miles. Most times there's no one else about so we could let the 2 yr old puppy off the lead to explore xx The site has a shop for barista coffee but only had semi-skimmed or or oat milk UGH.. They were very accommodating though and made me a coffee when i took my own milk over. It was still more a Latte than a Cappuccino. If you have people making Barista coffees they really should know how to make all the different coffees !! As a Barista, I find it very annoying ? Anyway, we like this site and would recommend xx :-)

Disliked Actually, only paying for a not so great coffee after using my own milk !! More training needed on the Barista ? coffee machine

Helpful, friendly staff.

Jun 2025

Liked Camper van EHU. Arrived to very lovely receptionist staff. Given a pitch which we really did NOT like. Debbie was lovely, extremely helpful and went over & above to move us to a perfect pitch even though the site was almost fully booked ! Beautiful views over the ocean, so thank you very much for that. We really appreciated it x. Close to shower/toilet block/dish wash which was also very handy. Showers very nice and kept immaculately clean by Tracy. Not an easy job but she was always smiling :-) It might have been her husband Gerry in the buggy (I think) who also helped us and was equally as helpful and happy. I don't like the push button idea as they are NEVER on long enough even when pressed for longer ! and the shower head being fixed was way too high for me to get a proper water fall on my head and with long hair, trying to get shampoo/cond out took an absolute age. Only luke warm water too, temp needs adjusting a bit hotter. There's a lovely bar (upstairs) with outside area for you & your dog. We didn't use night entertainment as we have a dog ! There's a chip shop ! and a shop, expensive but sells the basics and more upgraded items too.

Disliked WALK TO BEACH !. Down a hill like Mt. Everest ( much worse coming back. Bit of a killer tbh ) I have a bad back and really struggled but the dog needed the beach as he's really a Merman and so :-) !! Mobility issues, wheelchairs/pushchairs, the hill WILL be an issue !. Then possibly a mile walk to the beach on the road. It's not the prettiest of beaches and the sand is an orangery colour so expect your white, fluffy cockapoo dog (ours) to be turned into exactly that, an orange hahaha ! There's 2 big puddles to make them get in b4 coming off beach THANKFULLY. Dog beach is right at the far end of promenade. Couple of pubs, Costa, ice cream etc. We never saw 1 taxi rank or even a taxi the whole time to come back so Mt. Everest it was ! Maybe ask at Reception about taxis for your return if you don't want to face the hill ! The site Chip shop and only in our opinion of course but, we found it WAYY over priced, serving flat, almost batterless fish, luke warm green chips and over done onion rings !!!! All with a really horrible, grease like taste. We really didn't enjoy them one bitand organisation was just total chaos. We wouldn't return purely for my health issues which is a shame BUT I would recommend the site anyway. ( didn't mark child friendliness, couldn't remove the star rating I did in error !! )

From the manager: Dear Tracey, Thank you so much for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We're so pleased to hear that you received a warm welcome from our reception team and that Debbie was able to assist in finding you the perfect pitch—she truly is a star! It's also lovely to know you enjoyed the beautiful ocean views and the convenience of being close to the facilities. A big thank you for your kind words about Tracy and Gerry as well—they’ll be delighted to hear they made a positive impression during your stay. We’re especially glad to hear you found the showers clean and well-kept, though we appreciate your feedback about the push-button system, fixed shower head, and water temperature. Your comments help us look into ways we can improve guest comfort. We’re also happy to hear you enjoyed the on-site bar and the variety of shops available. We're sorry to hear the walk to the beach proved challenging due to health concerns. The hill can indeed be a tough climb, and we do advise guests with mobility issues to check in with reception for alternative transport options, such as local taxi and bus services. Regarding your experience with the chip shop, we’re sorry it didn’t meet expectations. Your comments will be passed on to the relevant team for review to ensure improvements can be made where needed. Although we're sad to hear your health concerns might prevent a return visit, we truly appreciate your recommendation of the site to others. Thank you again for your kind and honest review—it means a lot to us. Kind regards, Nikki

Very large pitch, friendly, helpful site.

Jun 2025

Liked Camper van EHU. Arrived to a nice guy in reception. It's chose your own pitch but they are NOT very well signed.Found a nice pitch, albeit with a view of the bins, it was really, very large, fairly flat & trees for the dog.We did use chocks. The site is kept nicely and the facilities are OK too, missing a dog wash, they are always handy and on large sites there shouldn't really be an issue creating one for guests !? They are creating a new part of the site with statics. The whole of this site is massive. The beach is stunning. You can walk (very long) or drive or take a boat trip to see the seals in their natural habitat which is really lovely.I couldn't stay on this site again for my health issues :-( BUT I would really recommend it IF you ask for advice on places (beach) and the best ways to get there ! Oh and I loved the rabbits, as in LOADS of them :-) x

Disliked NOW, the walk to the beach from this site is a LONG walk and anyone with mobility problems will struggle. Wheelchairs/pushchairs too.Our first walk was uphill, through the site, down a very steep, sliding sand, sand dune and as someone with a bad back I found was terrible. We then found another way but also not very good on my back. You really need to ask about directions for an easier way to the beach if you have any of the above (or even not ! ) Having said all that, the beach is gorgeous. It was terribly windy but you can walk for miles if you want or you can carry all your gear & wind breakers to stop for the day !!! Theres a lovely cafe'/bar right at the veryyy far end of the beach ( a real walk !) Take food & drinks with you if you think you'll need them ! We enjoyed our stay but my advice would be to get some advice from reception about the surroundings and where it is you exactly want to be !!! I couldn't stay again with my health issues, purely the hills and my walking ability. That's a shame as the really large pitch was possibly one of the nicest we've ever had. I hate leaving negative feedback but just do a little bit of research b4 you set off to the beach and you will ENJOY :-)

Lovely site. Good size pitch. Great beach location. Pretty village.

May 2025

Liked Very quiet so we had a pitch right next to the facilities which was great. Sloping so used ramps to level out. ( I would bring ramps as a just in case ! ) Pitches are a good size. Nice little shop on site. Grass and the surroundings are kept very nicely, looks lovely. Walking to the beach takes roughly 15 minutes, maybe just slightly less ! Sweet walk through the village either way you go. I have to praise the lovely Lady that was cleaning the toilets.. She had pretty flowers in her hair and looked like she was taking real care of doing her job. I had to tell her so and she was very appreciative. A very nice Lady. There are lots of toilets/sinks, a hairdryer and 3 showers. All with shelves & immaculately clean.Music playing and warm. People are very nice and friendly.

Disliked The MASSIVE divets in the ground ! I had to really pack them up with our old dog towels otherwise we couldn't have put the awning up ? We would have twisted an ankle going down them if not packed.. If caravans/motorhomes are making these divets someone just needs to be checking after they've gone & fill them in !. There were quite a lot walking over the field ! Just a suggestion :-) Apart from that gripe I have no dislikes. It's a very well kept site and a very pretty village with very nice people. This was our 2nd visit and I'm sure we will be back again.

Great location for the beach. Roughly a 3 minute walk.

May 2025

Liked The location is great. Right on the beach, roughly a 3 minute walk. Pitches were fairly large and fairly flat. We were lucky enough for the site to be quiet so enjoyed our time there. I read that some people complained about the amount of Goose poo, which, if I'm honest, there was a lot of it. It literally took me 10 minutes to go round our pitch with a brush & dustpan to sweep it up, stop messing the ground sheet up. We have a dog so didn't want him rolling in it. It was really no problem, they didn't poo near us again so it was worth the 10 minutes !.. Pretty fishing lake right at the side of the site and a massive tackle shop on site too. Nice, friendly people who will help you with anything you need to know.

Disliked It isn't that I disliked the toilets but I think they could with some slight updates. ie:- the mirrors are weird, like those circus mirrors that make you look contorted !!!! There are only 2 showers in the Ladies.plenty of loo's. One of the showers had 3 hooks on back of door which was good, the other didn't have any on door. No shelves in either to put your shampoo etc, not great if you're not good at bending down constantly. My biggest honest dislike was the shower itself. Pressing the water button for it to stay on for 3 seconds was an absolute nightmare. I didn't bother washing my hair, it's long and would have taken me at least 2 hours to get shampoo & conditioner out of it, all whilst probably freezing to death !! Really not good, 3 seconds of water at a time is simply awful.. That's my only gripe. Kept nice and clean. The site would benefit from a small shop as it isn't near one.

It's a sweet little site and by the looks of it, still under development ! Just 1 unit with a shower and toilet. Very clean, spotless. 3* pitch. Warm toilets & clean (when we visited) ! Close to beach.

Oct 2024

Liked EHU camper van pitch: Decent size pitch.Walk to beach approx 10 mins. Dog friendly and a good, long beach. Nice walk into the town. Not much there but enough to pass some time. Didn't use entertainment/bar etc as we have a puppy so can't comment. The toilets DEFINATELY need updating but they were lovely and warm, toilet paper in all of them and very clean every time I used them. Ramons ! name was on the wet floor board so I will say he does a good job.The amount of money this site must make suggests some of it really does need to be spent on both toilet blocks!? It appears to be the TOP COMPLAINT in the reviews ??

Disliked Uneven pitch, awning was a mare to put up ! Really dark at night, I would suggest a torch. Lights would be great depicting where your pitch is ? Apart from a rather tart receptionist on arrival I don't really have any other moans :-) If we stayed again we would ask to stay on the site to the right of the entrance, Chestnut drive, (named something like that) ! Hubby had a walk round and said toilet blocks were much better and the site/field looked better too ! I'm guessing at £10/11 a night it must be what you get ??

Fabulous. 5* cleanliness. Perfect hosts. Fantastic pitches.

Aug 2024

Liked EHU camper van:- The pitch :-) When we arrived the site was almost full so we decided to look at the camping field.. Well, no one on it so it was a no brainer for us. It was fantastic, like having our own massive back garden, King Stanley loved it. No noise, no one bothered us, LOL, we basically didn't see anyone the 2 nights we stayed. The shower facilities are 5*. Meticulously clean. There's a dog wash which is handy. Last time we stayed the bar was just being plastered. It's fabulous, a fantastic addition to the site. I'm sure, a little gold mine ! Bingo was fun Saturday night. Good idea to play 1 game for big money. The pub was packed. It's only approx 15 mins walk to the fab beach, very dog friendly. There is a cafe on the beach road which is handy. It's definitely a lovely site, we'll be back and we do highly recommend it. If you're not driving the location is slightly remote ! You can cross over the road to another site and use their facilities and there is a pub further up the road but it isn't dog friendly :-( Bev came over to see us on on leaving day, she's such a lovely Lady, very friendly, she's a credit to the site x

Disliked This isn't a dislike because we honestly don't dislike anything about the site but the reception building that seems to be doing nothing, would make for a super little shop ! It's the only thing missing. In our opinion, as the location is quite remote, essential items would be so handy, you know, like beer hahahaha !!! No but really, it is missing just this one thing. It would make this site complete. Apart from this, we have no complaints whatsoever. Bev, Terri & Rob are very lovely. They will welcome you with open arms and help you any way they can. It's unusual not to find anything wrong with a camp site, there's always a moan to be had lol, but in this case, nope, we enjoy every time we visit. Take a trip there, see for yourself, you won't be disappointed :-) x

Location great. No frill facilities but clean. Friendly owners.

Aug 2024

Liked EHU camper van. Good size pitch. Quite level for such a big field. It says unisex toilets on description but they were separate :-) Close enough to Whitby, only a 10/15 minute walk to the 199 steps. They are not as bad as you may think and there are benches to rest on the way back up. There is a cobble lane at the side of steps but be warned, it is very steep ! You cld easily get a taxi back to the site. Small, dog friendly Fishermans beach, turn 2nd right at bottom of steps. A good 30 min walk I wld say to the other dog friendly beach, up through the whale bone but worth it for the dog and a nice walk along the cliff tops. It must be a real job running this site as it is huge but the 2 guys were very friendly & helpful.

Disliked This site is as it says it is, no frills ! To be honest I found the Ladies toilets fine. Always toilet paper and fairly clean. The mens didn't impress my hubby, only 2 toilets for the massive field ? In our section anyway. There was another toilet block way up the field to accommodate that section. We have our own toilet anyway so it wouldn't stop us returning. The amount of grass left after it being mowed was a pain. Just clumps & clumps of it blowing everywhere, tent was caked in it. It could do with tractor raking it up but it is a massive field so !!! The wind was absolutely crazy, we had to pack up and come home a day early :-( I guess that's being on cliff tops for you. Again, it wouldn't stop us trying the site again.

Liked We were on a camper van pitch, same spot as last time ! Fairly level and decent size grass for the awning. Only a 2 min walk to a tiny beach but carry on through the village to a lovely walk on beach. It's like a nature reserve. Over the road to walk along the lane for miles around the lake. The Ski bar is great to stop for a pint. Bit expensive if I'm honest but they can ?!Cute little cafe on site, barista made, not machine :-) Showers very nice. Very clean and warm. Friendly people.

Friendly, clean site. Nice pub, handy shop. 7/10 min walk to beach

Jun 2024

Liked FSEHU in Camper Van: Grass is always kept short and is fairly level. All on site staff are friendly. Pub on site is nice. Dog friendly, food good. Dog run. Toilet/shower block is a little uninspiring but does the job & is kept clean. Dogs & kids all well behaved. People on site very friendly. On site shop handy. Closeness to beach is our main priority for the pup. An approx 7/10 minute walk from site. We do like North Shore.

Disliked NOT enough bins around site when dog walking ! I say this every time :-) ! We've always have had one of the largest pitches available but still think the pitches are a bit too close to each other. Only our opinion, you need to try for yourself and make your own judgement. Nice site.Nice beach.Nice pub. Everyone friendly. We would return.

Mar 2024

Liked Fully serviced camper van pitch. Booked a largest size pitch which was larger in length rather than width so pegging the awning out wasn't great for us. Nice pitches though.Close walk to beach with dog. Walk to entrance, turn left, cross at pelican. You will know to walk straight up that street, 8-10 min walk. Fab. On site Pitch n Putt bar dog friendly, bit expensive at £5.50 pint but was a nice pint so didn't really mind ! Lovely, friendly staff. Toilets/shower block were very clean & plenty for size of site BUT absolutely freezing.Having a shower was off for that weekend ! :-( On site shop well stocked.

Disliked Pitch not really wide enough and potentially quite close to your neighbours we thought ! Freezing cold shower/toilet block. This time of the year they should have been toastie ? Not ONE dog pooh bin or bin walking round site until you get to the barrier ? Maybe bins weren't out at this time of year. Very annoying though and also probably the reason dog pooh not being picked up as some people couldn't be bothered to walk the other side of site to a bin ! It's very dark so torch/head lamp recommended :-)

Camper van with electric pitch:- The…

Oct 2023

Liked Camper van with electric pitch:- The beach ! Roughly 8-10 minute walk to a fabulous beach for the dog. We couldn't believe how big the beach was and hardly a soul on it. Both us & the puppy enjoyed our walks very much.. We swopped pitches as the first given was water logged so we were able to pitch up a bit better. Ground was so muddy although not the sites fault I know but what a mess it made ! I can't comment on the entertainment as we don't have kids and the dog couldn't go in so we didn't use it.There looked like there was plenty of daily entertainment going by the leaflet on arrival and my husband said there was a great beer garden. We might stay again but we are on the fence and it would probably only be because of the fabulous beach being so close and reasonable price for 3 nights ! I would kind of recommend but say that it's one of those you need to try for a couple of days and make your own minds up. I imagine in summer it will be a very busy field and the ground obviously better. We like going away out of season and maybe the way it's just a free for all field after rain might put us off !! We shall see ?

Disliked NO kind of road to the pitches! The field is a free for all. Driving on it and finding your pitch in the mud, REALLY churned it up ! Quite a few vans had to be towed off by tractor because they got stuck ! The electric boxes were unseeable in the dark. The PITCH NUMBERS ARE RIDICULOUS !! VERY difficult to see. The site DEFINATELY needs to attach pitch numbers at the side of the electric boxes and not laid on the grass like a gravestone !!!! Lighting on the field hardly any, the road to the toilet block very, very dark ! Definately need a torch. Toilet/shower block (Ladies) very outdated. Saturday early morning they were filthy, paper all over the floor, cider cans on the cistern, litter etc. Came back from being out around 4pm, still the same. Cleaning slightly lax ?! Facilities/cleanliness marked down for this.

Liked Electric camper van pitch: A nice, quiet site, maybe the time of year ! Good to have an all year round little cafe' on site selling properly made barista coffee :-) and lovely ice creams. The beach straight across the road is small but if you walk 10 minutes to the Harbour pub and turn left you will reach a gorgeous beach that goes on for miles along side the nature reserve. Our 7mth old puppy loved it. We got drenched one day but the walk is so nice, there was no one else around in the rain lol so we just walked forever lol. The showers were lovely and clean and very warm too. It's the most dogs I've seen on a site but they were all quiet and very well behaved. There is a local Londis shop, fish & chip shop and 2 pubs within 10 minutes walk. A takeaway van comes with burgers/pizza and there are takwaway numbers available. Across from the site is a lovely water spot with the Ski bar where we enjoyed a couple of pints in the evening. I imagine it to be very busy in the summer. Nice walks around there too.

Disliked Nothing to dislike about the site itself but it was EXTREMELY windy and so the pop top had to come down and we had to take our awning down a day early. The wind actually ripped it :-( We would definately stay here again, maybe try spring and hope the wind might be calmer ! We would recommend to friends and anyone reading this !

Liked Camper van pitch, electric hook up: So if I say I didn't want to come home, that must tell you a story :-) AMAZING from start to finish.SUCH a friendly welcome on arrival by Terry & Bev xxx Fantastic pitch. Lovely outlook. Layout of the site is fantastic. Showers are Hotel standard & gleaming, there are enough for the size of the site. A nice touch are the separate toilets. The old poly tunnel is so sweet with no expense spared in the decor. We had a lovely BBQ night with football, rugby & boxing laid on. The burgers & onions were to die for. Top class quality meat and the bread was delicious also. Giant hot dogs looked amazing too. Nothing is too much trouble, such kind people. The dogs were loved. The dog wash was excellent after the beach which is only a 10 minute walk with the little cafe on the beach road & there is a little shop on site. The plasterers were there as we left continuing work on the bar due to be opened soon. This will honestly be a fantastic addition to an already amazing site. Terry, it was so nice meeting you xxx You and Rob should be SO proud of your hard work. Your attention to the smallest details really do make a difference and I know they will keep customers coming back to you time & time again. The little things really DO count and I hope everyone gives you nothing but glowing feedback, you ABSOLUTELY deserve it xxx I hope we will be back very soon, miss you long time ( and so does Stanley ) lol :-) xxx

Disliked NOTHING.

Very family orientated,NO facilities for adults/ kids.Good large pitch

Aug 2023

Liked Electric camper van pitch: Large, flat, grass pitch. The price for 2 nights for 2 & a puppy. The freedom dog field. Not such a long walk to the beach which was maybe a good 10 minutes. The road was a busy road and no path to walk on at times so I wouldn't have unchaperoned kids walking to & from the site! Cafe/shop at beach is lovely. Massive beach, dog friendly. Kept our puppy on his lead until we hit big spaces between other dog walkers and let him off which was great as we only really go away for him to be on the beach which he loves. Firepits a nice idea. We didn't use one (none left anyways) maybe need more for size of fields and campers ! We won't return but would recommend (with a good description of site) to friends with kids for the summer as the beach is fab.

Disliked Not dislikes really just not our kind of site. It's a VERY family orientated site, as in, maybe 3/4 families seemed to have all met up and pitched together with their kids, quite noisy going on till around 11pm. Nice for them though :-) just not for us. VERY dark at night if you need bathroom, DEF need a good torch.Paths need gravelling, dangerous at night as they are stoney & loose. Asking for accidents in our opinion! Site in our opinion is not suitable for elderly people, hard of walking or wheelchairs! We think the site owner could easily add some simple lighting along the paths, even if only solar! I used the toilets on far field near I think a farm! which weren't very clean and VERY small too but served the purpose I guess. We have our own toilet but I used once while taking our rubbish to bins which were smelly & over flowing. Glad we weren't pitched in that field. No one around on reception while we were there. It appears to be a very *freestyle kind of camping pitch. We prefer somewhere with more facilities. If you have kids, there is no play ground and actually we thought, nothing for a kid to do! We had rain all the time, we felt sorry for kids, they must have been so bored ! In lovely, sunny weather they would be at the beach I guess which would make a massive difference in our opinion. Sign posting not good. We couldn't find site for ages until we asked for directions at the Popas pub ( which is lovely) :-) None of the descriptions below seem right for my review but it's a good sized, family site with large pitches. Dog friendly. Toilets & showers. NO other facilities. Close to a lovely beach and we liked Potas pub (on the road to beach) great pint & food delicious.
