However, apart from showing you to your pitch, connecting you to the EHU and keeping the site clean and tidy we’re not sure what else you expected us to do. The nearest pub (which gets fantastic reviews) is a five minute walk away - as it was a bank holiday weekend I expect you would have to book if you wanted a meal Again I apologize if you didn’t enjoy your stay.

From the manager: Hello Chris, I'm not sure why your review has popped up again but it is good to read this time that you liked the pitches, the lake and the facilities. As stated previously it was a shame that another guest had not cleared up after their dog but perhaps the mess just wasn't visible because of the snow? The site is checked regularly for litter so we apologise if you found your pitch under par. Unfortunatley your stay was booked on the day of arrival and as you arrived after our reception had closed there was no one to greet you. However you should have received a courtesy call before 5.00 p.m. If the receptionist was not able to speak to you personally she would have left a voicemail message (if this was possible,) to explain what to do when you arrived and where the facilities were. Should you come again, which we hope you will, please call in to speak with our receptionists who will give you the camp guidelines, information on Castle Howard and answer any questions you may have.
