Pitchup to a camping and caravanning site during National BBQ Week – 27 May to 2 June

Outdoor holiday specialist Pitchup.com has selected some of its favourite sites for enjoying a BBQ during National BBQ Week 27 May – 2nd June.
The company, which features over 500 bookable campsites throughout the UK, says:

Amongst the sites offering barbecue facilities include:
Wales: West Wales Camping Pods: This small and friendly site at Whitland, Carmarthenshire features camping pods as part of its offering. Each pod, which sleeps up to two adults and three children, comes complete with its down barbecue chimnea, ideal for both cooking and warmth. There is also a communal kitchen pod with an electric oven and two piece hob plus a fridge, toaster, kettle, microwave and vegetable steamer. Pots, pans and crockery are also supplied. Pods cost from just £45 per night.
Peak District: Rivendale Caravan & Leisure Park: This large park offers a wide choice of camping options ranging from tents and caravans to pine lodges and pods. Set within 37 acres of beautiful pasture, woodland and lakes near Ashbourne, Derbyshire, makes it a centrally accessible park from most parts of England. The park has fire pits located in specific parts of the site which visitors are welcome to use for campfires, while BBQs are permitted throughout the site. Visitors need to bring their own BBQs but food and extras can be purchased in the on-site shop or even fished for on-site! Other facilities at the site include a games room, hot tub and cycle hire. Rates start from £20.50 per night for a hard-standing electric pitch for touring caravans and motorhomes.
Somerset: Middlewick Farm at Glastonbury is a camping cabin site located at the base of Glastonbury Tor. The site is ideal for those who enjoy eating outdoors as each cabin comes with its own BBQ plus there is also a main complex which features an outdoor communal BBQ and outdoor pizza oven. There is also an indoor swimming pool, steam room and children’s petting farm. The luxury and stylish cabins feature a full sized double bed, decking to the front, private shower room, crisp white bedding and large fluffy towels. Cabin offer spectacular views up towards Glastonbury Tor. Pods cost from £50 per night.
