Outdoor holiday specialist Pitchup.com has selected some of its favourite sites for enjoying a BBQ during National BBQ Week 27 May – 2nd June.
The company, which features over 500 bookable campsites throughout the UK, says:
- Over 100 sites bookable through Pitchup.com offer campfire or barbecue facilities
- On average 40% more visitors actively choose a site that allows barbecues & open fires this year*
Dan Yates, founder of Pitchup.com commented: “Camping and barbecuing go hand in hand and nothing beats the taste of freshly cooked food, whatever the weather. Our website enables holidaymakers to easily find the perfect site where they can barbecue to their heart’s content or sit around a camp fire to admire the night skies. Some sites, such as Under the Milk Wood, which has a butcher’s shop on site, really go the extra mile to make a stay special and all the details are on our website.”
Amongst the sites offering barbecue facilities include:

The park has fire pits located in specific parts of the site which visitors are welcome to use for campfires, while BBQs are permitted throughout the site. Visitors need to bring their own BBQs but food and extras can be purchased in the on-site shop or even fished for on-site! Other facilities at the site include a games room, hot tub and cycle hire. Rates start from £20.50 per night for a hard-standing electric pitch for touring caravans and motorhomes.
