What customers say
Garth Glamping: Tranquil natural setting by the River Taff. Praised for clean, well-equipped facilities (kitchen, showers). Friendly owners, spacious sites. Train/road noise and access track can be challenging, but overall highly recommended for peace and Cardiff access.

Comfortable and good for kids.
Bell tent
Liked Comfortable facilities, good amount of games for kids, a river really close to enjoy as a family, and close to the city and places to buy food and with a communal fridge/freezer available.
Disliked The beds were okay, but could be just a little bit better.

❤️A fantastic campsite for families, friends or couples ❤️
Primitive grass campervan, tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Everything is well thought out and of high quality (buildings, signage).
The location (lovely walks, near to supermarkets, local attractions)
The river (accessible)
Attention to detail (sanitary products! First aid box etc.)
Toilets (the best I’ve ever seen!!)
Immaculate Kitchen- kettle, fridge, pans, utensils
Games for children
Masses of space
Huge shelter for communal eating & lots of benches
Free fire pits (£5 for wood)
The list goes on… one of the best campsites I have ever stayed in!
Disliked The drive down to (& back up from) the site was very scary! It’s mostly loose gravel and there are many potholes. I don’t care about the odd scratch/ding but, from the sound of the clanging and scraping, I actually thought I’d seriously damaged the underside of my car a couple of times.
However, I appreciate that it would be a huge cost to rectify this and understand why they’ve had to wait to be able to make this investment.

Good facilities and wild location
Primitive grass campervan, tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Shared facilities were clean and well maintained. The river Taff runs alongside the campsite and it was a rustic and wild location.
Disliked A railway overlooks the campsite and runs alongside the boundary edge. The access road is steep, narrow and not tarmac. We came during a dry period, but this road could prove tricky in wet conditions.

Be nice to have a little shop on site to offer coffee etc
Primitive grass campervan, tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked A Really lovely shared kitchen area. & beautiful views. And great to be able to walk in the river and it be so private.2 of the Glamping toilet & shower were fab much more effective than the standard ones. Can see so much potential here after a bit more adding on little bits.
Disliked The grass isn't maintained it's full of prickles and not cut so it's tricky to enjoy the space to relax.
Showers need areas to put clothes and towels.
Hard to gain entry our camper van was the same width as the narrow lanes and the uneven ground was hard to drive on our vehicle.

From the manager: Hi Elliot, thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review and for your lovely comments.
As we’re only in our second season, we’re constantly making improvements based on guest feedback, so we really appreciate your suggestions. A small honesty shop/coffee is something we’d love to add in the future. (Wish we had the funds to do now!)
Just to clarify, all of our shower cubicles do have hooks for towels and clothing, so we’re sorry if these were missed during your stay.
Regarding the grass, Wales is currently experiencing exceptionally dry conditions, so unfortunately the ground has become very dry and prickly. Cutting the grass during these conditions wouldn’t improve it and can actually cause further damage to the ground, so we’re waiting for conditions to improve before carrying out further mowing. As a working farm, we’re also having to be extremely mindful of water use during the current drought.
The access road is a traditional rural farm lane, and unfortunately the width of the lane and surrounding hedgerows are outside of our control.
Thanks again for your feedback. We really appreciate it and hope you’ll come back and see how Garth Glamping continues to grow and improve.
