Likte The site itself was good!. The kitchen area is very handy and had a lot including a communal fridge freezer, a kettle, stove etc, as well utensils and cutlery if needed. The showers were really good, I didn’t actually use them (short stay) but they did look clean and were proper showers (not them showers where you have to hold the button etc), the toilet was clean too and was cleaned daily. The camp is also in a good location with the river taff next to it, a nice pub down the road and a massive Tesco about a 10min drive or 45min walk should you need anything, we also went there for a breakfast as they have a lovely cafe lol

Likte ikke Whilst the toilet was clean, there was only 1 toilet for the whole camp, but like 5/6 showers. It would make sense to put another toilet or 2 in and reduce the number of showers. The grass was also quite long and unkept in a lot of areas, which made the ground uneven, not sure if it does get trimmed though. I also found the drive in to the camp a bit annoying as you have to travel over a long gravel road with lots of stones and rocks, with dips, narrow passages and small pot holes so I’d advise to drive slowly through it. Due to this, I’m not 100% sure if I stay again, but it’s definitely not a camp that I’d say don’t ever go to!

Just to clarify, we do actually have 3 toilets and 3 showers available on site, including an additional block with 2 toilets, so it may be that these weren’t spotted during your stay. We’ll look at making the signage clearer so future guests can find all the facilities easily.

Regarding the grass, it is cut regularly, but with the recent weather creating perfect growing conditions, it can shoot up very quickly. We also try to time grass cutting carefully so we don’t disturb campers during their stay, but we appreciate your comments and will continue to keep on top of it as much as possible.

We’re sorry to hear the track wasn’t ideal for you. As a rural farm site, the access road is part of the countryside setting, but we do advise guests to take it slowly and we’ll keep monitoring it where we can.

Likte Lovely clean site. Pitch up where you want and plenty of space to spread out. Lovely river with pebbly beaches. Lilly Frances the little legend of a farm dog coming every day for a fuss and to have a cuddle. Log fires and bbqs allowed. Back to nature campsite.

Likte ikke Nothing. Grass was a little long but grass grows so can’t mark down for that. Few people moan about the trains - there’s a track up the hill. Not overly noisy and never bothered us. Kids liked spotting the trains.

We appreciate your understanding about the grass too. With the recent weather it has been growing incredibly quickly, but we do cut it regularly and try to do this at times that cause the least disruption to our campers.

Likte Spacious pitch, quiet campsite. Facilities were immaculate and lovely to have a hot shower in the morning. Owners have gone above and beyond and thought of everything you need (or forgotten). We would definitely stay again!

Likte Spacious pitches, lots of room to play but when we went it was very quiet so can imagine it would get busy during the height of summer. Facilities were modern and clean. Garden games were a nice touch. Proximity to both country and city was ideal.

Likte ikke Thought it was pricey for what was offered. Facilities might have long queues during busy periods as there was only three toilets and one small sink. Very close to railway tracks so there was the sound of trains until very late at night (but this can’t be helped).

We appreciate your feedback on pricing and always aim to keep our rates fair and transparent. While some sites may seem cheaper initially, many charge extra per person, whereas we offer a simple set rate. We also keep only 10 pitches available at any one time, specifically to preserve the quiet, spacious atmosphere of the site and to ensure the facilities do not become overcrowded, even in summer.

As for the trains, they are part of the local setting. Many guests enjoy the convenience of being so close to both the countryside and the city, though we understand the sound may stand out more to some visitors than others. Thanks again for your visit!

Likte This was our second visit to Garth
Glamping. There was a part of us that thought, will it live up to memories of last year as we really enjoyed our last stay. Nothing to worry about, in fact the facilities had got better there’s now an extra toilet block with another 2 toilets and 2 showers, they now sell bags of wood for your camp fire. The bottled water supply for drinking has been replaced with a spring water dispenser like you would find in an office. The kitchen is still as well stocked as last year with all the utensils you would need. There is now apparently a generator which backs up the solar and battery system but can’t say we ever heard this kick in. Being from the midlands we don’t usually hear the word “lush” a lot, but it became the word of our weekend as that’s what other campers were using to describe the site 🤣. Being an off grid site you are going to get the odd hiccup, I think the water pump tripped or something one evening but the owners were straight on it and got it back up and going. The campsite has a lovely family vibe to it and both times we have had such a warm welcome.

Likte The size of the field and size of the pitch. Lovely setting. Great for taking dogs for a walk. Owners lovely, friendly and amenable. Access to little kitchen and fridge etc great
Toilets and showers new, clean and modern.

Likte ikke Having to use bottled water as couldn't drink well water. Didn't like using so many plastic bottles as harmful to environment
