Garth Glamping

Gostou Great venue - as other reviewers have mentioned, it's through a village and then down a track on a working farm, so be prepared for this when travelling - some of the road is tight!
The actual campsite is gorgeous, with great facilities - three toilets and three showers, which work well for the small site. We didn't have to queue once.
There's a communal kitchen which is a lovely touch, plenty of pots, pans, kettles etc for all to use if needed. A great covered area with benches for gathering to sit/eat and plenty of kid's toys and activities too!

My favourite part has to be the pigs - absolutely loved them!

Não gostou I don't have much to write in this section really... Others have mentioned the noisy road, we did hear a couple of noisy cars but nothing that kept us awake and if you were a light sleeper, the hosts provide ear plugs in the kitchen area!

We really appreciate you mentioning the access and road noise in such a fair way too. Being on a working farm does mean the approach is a little more rural, but once you’re here we hope the setting makes it worth it!

Gostou The showers and toilets were clean, once on the field setting up was as simple as just selecting a spot.

We’re really sorry to hear about the noise from other guests during your stay. We do have quiet-hours expectations in place and would absolutely have intervened had we been made aware at the time. Unfortunately, with a campsite we can’t physically monitor every guest throughout the night, so we really do encourage anyone experiencing an issue to contact us straight away so we can deal with it.

We also appreciate your comments regarding access to the site and completely understand that the rural access may not suit everyone. Thank you again for staying with us and for taking the time to leave feedback.

Gostou Very cool chilled and relaxed campsite that had very clean and well set up facilities.
And the local pub served great food and was lovely.

Não gostou It would have been appreciated to note that there is a main train line very close.

Just to mention regarding the trains, the railway does run alongside the site and this is visible throughout our photo gallery, so we do try to show the location as accurately as possible before guests book. Gostou Great little campsite, toilets and showers were lovely, there's lovely little kitchen area as well
Kids swam in the river and had a great time.

Não gostou Can't be helped but there is a trainline there after a while you do get used to it (daytime mainly)

The train line is definitely part of our little valley setting and, as you said, most people soon get used to it. We do try to show it clearly throughout our photos so guests know what to expect before arriving.

Gostou Great facilities. Lovely views. Ideal for fisherthems or bird watchers. It's a budget friendly way to see Wales and it has some of the nicest pubs and restaurants locally. It's also a stones throw away from some lovely castles and follies.
If you have a canoe you could go into Cardiff on from the site.
It's pet and kid friendly.
If you're a train spotter this is right up your street as during the day there is at least 4 an hour go past.
The facilities are cleaned regular and topped up with fresh water.
This would also make a great venue for team building events or a secluded camp for groups as it's out of the way.
If the weather is right and you have enough food and beverage you could stay and not leave the site.

Não gostou Noisy at night. Less than 100 yards away from road which is mainly driven on by boy racers by the sound. I know it's not the fault of the site but it didn't stop untill the early hours.
The access to and from the site is ok however if your a bit flappy on single roads with tight spaces get some practice in before hand.

Gostou Lovely camp, flat pitch, great facilities, close to the river, cute animals on site, and we had great weather! Would definitely return to use the onsite sauna when it’s colder.

Gostou A beautiful campsite with great facilities and was very well maintained and clean. also great communication with the campsite manager.

Não gostou Communal kitchen area was not as stocked as we were led to believe, resulting in an adjustment to our food planning

We’d genuinely love to know what you felt was missing from the communal kitchen, as we try to keep it really well stocked with cooking equipment, utensils, crockery, cutlery, fridge/freezer space, kettle, hob, BBQ etc. It may be that certain items were being used by other guests at the time, but if there’s something we’ve overlooked we’d really appreciate knowing so we can add it for future stays! 😊
