What customers say
A peaceful spot with lovely country views. Guests loved friendly host Gemma and the farm animals, especially the goats. Toilets and showers were always clean. The field's slope was noted, but pitching was comfy. Fire pits/logs for sale. Many want to return!

Idyllic & peaceful campsite, lots of space, with eggs & logs to buy!
Primitive grass and earth tent or RV campsite
Liked Idyllic campsite in what feels like the middle of nowhere. A very quiet site where you can pitch up wherever you like which means you aren’t on top of each other. Gemma is super friendly and we could buy fresh eggs and logs using a link/QR code which means you don’t need to carry cash. It was also nice to see the sheep and goats and the nearby cows.
Disliked This is linked more to guest use but toilets didn’t flush too well and guests left the shower in a bit of a mess. That said, the small toilet/shower block is cute and well maintained in general.
As mentioned in other reviews the field is on a slope but lots of space so you can pitch your tent wherever and however you like to help mitigate.

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to share such a lovely review. It’s wonderful to hear you enjoyed the peaceful space, the freedom to pitch wherever you like, and meeting the sheep and goats, they’re very much part of the charm here.
I’m really sorry the toilets weren’t flushing properly during your visit. We had a plumbing issue caused by sanitary products being flushed, but it’s now sorted. And thank you for your understanding about the shower block we do try to keep it as tidy as possible, though occasionally guests leave it less than ideal.
Your feedback is genuinely appreciated. Thanks again for staying with us.

Would come back!
Primitive grass and earth tent or RV campsite
Liked Really liked this site, so quiet & peaceful. Bathroom block was really cute and nicely done, very clean too!
The site is on a slope with semi flat patches in a few places so pick your spot carefully if you are in a tent.
Disliked Nothing to do with the site really but there was a family in the bottom corner whose kids were in and out of the bathrooms every 5 minutes and the parents were chasing them up the hill in the car!

From the manager: Thanks so much for the lovely review! We’re really happy you enjoyed the quiet setting and our new bathroom block, we put a lot of care into keeping everything clean and welcoming for you.
We’re sorry another family made things a little lively at times. It’s not typical for the site, and we always do our best to ensure everyone gets the peaceful experience they come for. We’ll continue keeping an eye on guest behaviour so the calm atmosphere is protected for all visitors.
Hope to see you again for another peaceful stay.
