  • Family park one mile from Dawlish Warren beach
  • A 35-minute drive from Torquay; pubs within walking distance
  • Indoor swimming pool, adventure playground, soft play, gym and sauna
Staying just a mile away from Dawlish Warren beach sounds pretty neat, doesn't it? Lady’s Mile Holiday has a splendid location on the Devon coast, and what's more, it also has a reel of very tempting facilities… For one, there is a splendid indoor swimming pool for a morning of backstroke or splashing around. During high season, an additional outdoor swimming pool opens up for open-air dips (as long as the weather is good enough). After a nice swim, guests can stay well-fed and well-watered at the on-site restaurant and bar. There are plenty of ways to keep the kids entertained around the park too, from an adventure playground and soft play to the evening entertainment that takes place from March to November. There's a gym on site if you fancy keeping up your workout streak. Otherwise, you're very welcome to laze by the pool or in the sauna instead. For quick dinners, the site has a takeaway. As for other facilities, there are also showers and bathrooms, including a parent and baby washroom. Looking for local eats? There are pubs within a mile's wander of the site, which might prove to be the motivation you need to get off the oh-so-splendid grounds...

Liked Facilities are good even though didn't end up using a lot of them. Food was good in restaurant

Disliked We stayed on pitches furthest from reception hoping it would be quieter. Was a bit annoyed when I couldn't get electric to work and had to walk down to sort it as they couldn't do it over the phone (it was a very hot day and it's a steep walk there and back) had noisy people on pitches near us who used cars to get to and from entertainment at night which is annoying as they had no consideration.

Liked Great facilities, this site has everything you need. Pitches are enormous, the biggest we have seen. Shower facilities were good and cleaned regularly. The best thing about this site is location. It's just a small walk down the hill to Dawlish Warren. It's lovely and has everything you need, shops, bars, beach and funfare/ arcade. There is a bus literally just outside the back gate. A short 5 minute bus ride to Dawlish. Which is stunning. You also have Torquay etc.. close by. There is so much to do locally here it's great. We would definitely return great site.

Disliked When you intially turn up, the overflow carpark at check in can be a bit hectic. The Gents toilets were cleaned regularly, but smelled of urine. The Internet which you pay for is rubbish. The signal drops regularly and is difficult to get back. Only minor things. Great site, ideally located.

Liked We really liked that there was a separate field to the (very very busy) main area.
You could pick your pitch and it was all relatively flat. Absolutely massive pitches!
We had 3 total for our group and had bundles of space (even set up badminton net with room to spare)
Our facilities were great. Good warm shower, clean toilets and family rooms with a bath. Amazing.
It was nice to have 2 pools to use. Changing rooms were clean.
Walk down to the beach and train station is a good benefit (gate from our field) although it’s a fairly steep walk back up but only takes about 10/15mins.
The onsite shop was fairly priced and had a good selection of things.

Disliked Our daughter was too small for the slides, she was gutted- would have been good to have something available for the smaller kids or the ability to go down with someone would solve the problem.
Baby pool inside was cold compared to the main pool, for the duration of our stay- Not sure if that’s normal.

We’re really pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay on one of our electric grass pitches and that so many aspects of the park stood out to you — from the pools and activities to the shop, food, and friendly team. It’s great to know you found everything clean, well-priced, and welcoming.

We also appreciate your note about some areas being a little tight for reversing — especially when you're just starting out with caravanning!

Local attractions

Lady’s Mile is a site for the sea and sand fans, as it’s only a mile from two beaches where you can surf, swim, sail or just unwind. Golf, fishing, horse riding and tennis are all nearby, or you could indulge in a spot of culture and wander around the nearby National Trust properties A la Ronde (35 minutes' drive) and Compton Castle (35 minutes). Want something a little more likely to appeal to the kids? Pack them in the car and take them off to Crealy Great Adventure Park (25 minutes), where they can go gaga on the rides or go wild in the indoor jungle. They might also enjoy seeing the famous black swans along the River Dawlish, bumping along on the seafront railway, or just sticking close to the beach resort with its pirate-themed mini golf, go-karting, amusements and rides.
