What customers say
This adult-only campsite boasts pristine facilities, including underfloor-heated washrooms. Reviewers rave about the roomy sites, great staff, and on-site bar/pizza. It's a prime spot for York excursions, though a car is handy for local shops and WiFi can be spotty.

Powered grass travel trailer campsite
Liked 2nd visit here and it has changed slightly. The staff are still friendly and can’t do enough for you. A good designated walk for the dogs. Toilets and showers really clean and spotless. Large pitches. Well stocked bar
Disliked Smoking and vaping is not allowed in the beer garden, and there is no designated area for it, which is a shame, as we both like a vape when having a drink, and I know it’s only a petty thing, but for some people it might be a good thing

We had the most amazing time…
Mitchell's Field powered grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked We had the most amazing time camping at Flaxton Meadows for my birthday with our greyhound, Bowie. The whole place was so peaceful and beautifully clean. We explored a few nearby pubs—super easy to walk to, even though we had a car. There were plenty of lovely local walks too, including a nice route around the campsite itself. We even had a couple of drinks and a pizza in the bar on site. Everyone was so friendly, and we just had the best time. We’ll definitely be back!
