What customers say
A beautifully kept, adults-only site with roomy, level pitches & spotless facilities (showers have underfloor heating!). Staff are a highlight – super friendly & helpful. The bar's reasonably priced, and the pizza van's a hit. Great for exploring York. Occasional Wi-Fi woes & road/train noise noted, plus some found pegs tricky in hardstanding.

Overall, the pitching issue
Electric hardstanding touring pitch
Liked We were happy with the electric hook-up and water point — easy to pull the caravan in and connect. The showers, toilets, and other facilities were all lovely and very clean.
Disliked We were told to park up in a certain way, which made it really difficult to put the awning up. The ground is concrete/stone with no grass, so the pegs just bent or wouldn’t go in at all, even with a hammer. It took us about 3 hours on and off in very hot weather. We weren’t the only ones struggling.
My advice to the site / future guests: Please make it clear on the website that these pitches are hard-standing. Bring a drill/rock pegs if you’re putting an awning up, and warn people they’ll be pitching on stone/concrete, not grass.
