What customers say
This is a friendly, well-maintained campsite with lovely views, praised for its spacious pitches and helpful staff. Facilities, particularly the swimming pool, hot tub, and bar/restaurant, are popular with families. While many found the site peaceful and a good base for exploring, some noted the touring pitches are on a slope and mentioned the toilet/shower block could benefit from refurbishment and more frequent cleaning, especially during busy periods. The bar and restaurant occasionally have limited opening hours.

The gentleman who checked us in…
Powered grass tent campsite
Liked The gentleman who checked us in was lovely, even though reception was already closed (we were late arriving, not the sites fault) we were given all the info we needed. The pitches are really roomy, though a tad rocky so pack hard ground pegs. Very dog friendly, the walks on site are stunning and dogs are permitted in the bar and restaurant area. The facilities were great, very clean and user friendly, the bar and restaurant were fab! Very reasonably priced and the food was perfect, never had a better lasagne! Easy to get to Scarborough and Filey beaches from here.
Disliked Nothing to dislike, only that we couldn’t stay longer!

Excellent site with great facilities for a mini break away
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Great views. Friendly nature of staff right the way through from checking in, to eating, to later in the evening where there happened to be a disco and karaoke. Toilet and shower facilities are more than adequate. They’re clean too. As mentioned in other reviews the campsite is on an incline but that didn’t affect us.
Picnic tables dotted around the field are great to use in better weather. Free wifi on site
Disliked Limited swimming availability so we weren’t able to use. Will prebook next time. But that’s not the site’s fault it was so busy. The WiFi didn’t go as far as our tent but we were at the top of the field.

Powered grass travel trailer campsite
Liked Club house good food fine
Disliked Motorhome pitches money needs to be spent on leveling the top field no matter what I did could not get our motor level.
The level of clenleyness on the toilet blocks was very poor guyyou have a 72 year old man cleaning the toilets ,his clenleyness left alot to be to your imagination 4 minutes he spent cleaning the toilets he literally went over the floor with a mop No cleaning at all.Do not use the showers unless you have something on your feet .

Powered grass tent campsite
Liked Big pitch and moved to flat ground when requested. Nice walk and dog friendly too. Reception staff and bar manager friendly.
Disliked Toilets/showers need better locks to show if they are free or not as it's unknown until you try a door. Some of the main building looks abit dated could do with abit of a refresh.
Recommend to friends Visit again
Great for adults who want a quiet time and near all the seaside towns.
Powered grass travel trailer campsite
