Whether you’re after a hiking holiday, a spot of birdwatching or bracing good times at the seaside, coastal North Yorkshire always delivers. And at Spring Willows Caravan Park, you’re well placed for all these activities – and more besides. This family- and dog-friendly site sits close to the junction of the A64, which takes you straight into Scarborough (20 minutes’ drive), and the A1039, which you can follow all the way to Filey (15 minutes). From there, you can choose to spend a day at sandy, expansive Filey Beach, or head to Filey Brigg, a narrow, ragged promontory where there are reliable sightings of migratory and breeding birds. So that’s the beaches and birdwatching taken care of. As for the hiking, Filey Brigg marks the end (or the start) of the Yorkshire Wolds Way, a long-distance route crossing spectacular valleys, woodland and chalk hills. On site, grass pitches come with splendid views of the surrounding fields, and facilities include an indoor pool, a gym, a games room and a fenced-off children’s play area with climbing structures. If you’re into experimenting with your G&Ts, the S Club Bar and Restaurant has a pretty decent selection of gins. (How decent? Well, you might find it hard to work your way through the entire menu during your stay here…) If you fancy sipping your drink under a canopy of stars, the outdoor seating area has heat lamps and warm throws. A modern and pristine toilet block with hot-water showers (plus facilities for disabled guests), a washing-up area and a launderette complete the picture.

喜欢 Lovely clean site, very friendly staff.
Dog walks, amazing lots of areas woodland and land, all paths cleared daily. Best space for dogs ever.
Showers toilet block cleaned 3x daily. Shower and toilet all together in 3 private cubicals. 1 large disabled.
Bar and food on site next to children play area. Out of season limited hours and days, closed mon and tues. Not an issue as pub 5 min walk away, or take your own and soak in the views.
Pool and sauna free too and can book private swim, although didnt use, fellow camper said great and went most mornings. Only planned on staying 2 days,spent 4 days as lovely.
Only 30 min from scarborough, bridlington, 15 min filey.
Will be back really worth a visit.

We were lucky as very quiet mid sept.

不喜欢 Very poor showers, on for about 10 seconds before pushing the button again.
Parking on a slope so ramps are needed.

不喜欢 The slant is dreadful the whole site slants downwards no matter what you do it’s impossible to level your van out.

Toilet block and shower room are together and they are filthy it’s all grime built up in the corners!

Wash room for washing clothing is also dreadful it’s filthy and the washer front has no paint left on it around the bottom!

喜欢 Reception unaware of booking that had made through pitch up for electric tent pitch, showed booking confirmation text and they apologised when no need not Thier fault hadn't come through system, said would buy me a drink and true to word when was settled and at bar later buying myself and partner drinks he bought them, unexpected and much appreciated. It's a lovely campsite with great facilities, showers, bar, games room, swimming pool, sauna and jacuzzi with lovely hosts, enjoyed stay and will visit again.

喜欢 Very quiet considering it was a bank holiday weekend.
Good facilities and nearby amenities.
Toilet block clean and tidy
Onsite bar and pool (didn't use either but still a good idea!)

不喜欢 Touring field on a significant slope; even with campervan on max ramps there was still a noticeable slope in the van.
Seemed like there was a pitch layout but it was very vague so hard to tell where we could and couldn't pitch.

喜欢 Friendly staff, good bar and food. Lovely location and good dog walking area.

不喜欢 Couldn’t have bbqs and campfires (but not campsite fault)
Also the ground had very hard/stoney stuff under the top layer of grass so hard to get tent pegs in.

喜欢 Lovely campsite. Cleaners lovely and friendly. Michelle was lovely with my daughter. Playing peek a boo with her and having fun with her. Pool and hot tub lovely too. Enjoyed by all.

不喜欢 Only thing we disliked was the fact the campsite was on a hill. So everything was on a slant. Quiet a big one

Build a day out around the kids by taking them to Playdale Farm Park (10 minutes’ drive), where they can feed alpacas, handle guinea pigs or have a go at ziplining. Then head to the North Yorkshire Water Park (15 minutes), for climbing, bouncing and sliding on the inflatable adventure course. With its chequered floor and elegant colonnade framing views of the sea, the Sun Court at the Scarborough Spa (20 minutes) is a great spot for a drink, maybe accompanied by music from a live orchestra. A stroll along South Bay Beach takes you to a pretty marina lined with restaurants and the Luna Park theme park. A chalk outcrop jutting into the North Sea, Flamborough Outer Headlands Nature Reserve (half an hour) is a popular spot for birdwatching. The coastline around here is pretty spectacular, with tall cliffs and rock formations like the Drinking Dinosaur, where seals come for a rest.
