Lucky Lucy, living in this splendid Worcestershire spot... Lucy’s Farm is a caravan park in the little village of Callow Hill, five minutes’ drive from Bewdley, on a five-acre site filled with fruit trees. Rather handily for those who like rural retreats to come with easy access to local ales, the site is sandwiched between the village’s two pubs so you’ll never be more than a five-minute stroll from a pint or a plate of dinner. Also within a few minutes’ walk are the village’s tennis club, riding school and forest adventure park, plus the Wyre Forest visitor centre. Get in the car for 10 minutes instead for trips to the West Midland Safari Park, games of golf and steam-powered rides on the Severn Valley Railway. Life on the farm is a peaceful affair – activity options involve taking your fishing rod down to the pond or strolling to meet the friendly farm animals; come along in summer and you might get a tractor ride too. You may also like to see whether the free-range chickens have been producing (if they have, that means fresh and free eggs for your brekkie) and whether there's any ripe fruit to pluck (for breakfast part two). If you’ve got kids that favour running over relaxing, they should find plenty of space to play games around the place too.

Powered grass tent campsite (no pets)

Liked We had a lovely stay at Lucy’s Farm. Beautiful scenery, a peaceful campsite, and friendly staff. We loved the chickens roaming around too! We’ll definitely be back.

Disliked The only thing I could think of that would make it even better would be having showers on site. Other than that, we honestly couldn’t fault our stay.

Primitive grass tent campsite (no pets)

Liked I loved everything about staying at Lucy's Farm. Very quiet where I was pitched, chickens and horses for company, cooked my tea in the fire-pit overlooking the pond. A perfect spot.

Primitive grass tent campsite (no pets)

Liked Quiet site with animals around which the kids loved, easy to walk to Wyre forest, decent toilet block, close to bewdley for facilities/places to eat. Peaceful. We combined our stay with a trip to Habberley Trails a few minutes drive away which was also great fun.

Liked Really nice place to camp…. A couple of friendly horses going around & some hens. Met a guy called Joe there, he showed us about, top bloke, nothing was an issue. Highly recommend this site. It’s not huge but it is quality.

Liked Friendly staff, lovely farm, quiet and spacious. Facilities are clean, drinking water, everything as explained expected. I arrived much later than should, Joe was very patient and supportive. Thanks for the pleasant stay.

Liked Such a lovely campsite. Kids absolutely loved it, especially the chickens that were roaming about. Offered us eggs in the morning which was lovely and thwre was the option to purchase logs for an evening fire, which we will definitely do next time. It's so close to the wyre forest you can walk through the back of the campsite to it.

Lucky Lucy again, for she (and her guests) can walk to the Wyre Forest visitor centre in 10 minutes to hit the woodland trails on foot or mountain bikes, or get up into the treetops at the Go Ape adventure park. Heading out on horseback is an option too, with a riding centre five minutes away by car. If the farm life has caught the kids’ imagination (or yours – no one says you have to grow out of chuckling at cute animals), head for Little Owl Farm Park, 20 minutes' drive away. Bigger beasts can be found roaming the plains at West Midland Safari Park (10 minutes). Turn your attentions to how folk lived in the olden days with a trip to see the rock houses at Kinver Edge (20 minutes), where there’s also a maize maze to lose the kids in, followed by a heritage ride on the Severn Valley Railway (10 minutes). Swing home via Bewdley (five minutes) to take in the museum and (for those of a certain age) sup a pint at the brewery tap room.
