  • Next to the Wyre Forest, a few minutes' walk from Go Ape
  • Fishing, free-range eggs and fruit picking on site free of charge
Lucky Lucy, living in this splendid Worcestershire spot... Lucy’s Farm is a caravan park in the little village of Callow Hill, five minutes’ drive from Bewdley, on a five-acre site filled with fruit trees. Rather handily for those who like rural retreats to come with easy access to local ales, the site is sandwiched between the village’s two pubs so you’ll never be more than a five-minute stroll from a pint or a plate of dinner. Also within a few minutes’ walk are the village’s tennis club, riding school and forest adventure park, plus the Wyre Forest visitor centre. Get in the car for 10 minutes instead for trips to the West Midland Safari Park, games of golf and steam-powered rides on the Severn Valley Railway. Life on the farm is a peaceful affair – activity options involve taking your fishing rod down to the pond or strolling to meet the friendly farm animals; come along in summer and you might get a tractor ride too. You may also like to see whether the free-range chickens have been producing (if they have, that means fresh and free eggs for your brekkie) and whether there's any ripe fruit to pluck (for breakfast part two). If you’ve got kids that favour running over relaxing, they should find plenty of space to play games around the place too.

Primitive grass tent campsite (no pets)

Liked One of the most enjoyable camping trips we've had.
The owners were friendly and always up for a chat but left us alone to enjoy their land too. A beautiful field with lots of fruit trees, a whole menagerie of wild life, well kept grass with plenty of places to pitch, access to the amazing adjacent woodlands, clean toilets, a fishing pond... What more could you ask for?

Disliked Don't know what other networks are like but Vodafone had little to no signal. Which wasn't too much of a problem as there was plenty of relaxing to do, fishing and cycling.

Primitive grass tent campsite (no pets)

Liked We camped right next to the lake, which was a lovely view to wake up to. The hosts were lovely and very welcoming. They let the children get involved with feeding the animals too which they really enjoyed. The campsite was peaceful and perfect for a short visit.

Liked Gorgeous farm, lovely owners and great places to walk to. Not to far from shops if you need anything and 2 pubs in walking distance. Joe was so helpful and helped us with our electricity. Definitely would stay again and recommend. No WiFi but there was signal and 4g.

Primitive grass tent campsite (no pets)

Liked We had an amazing stay at Lucy’s farm, the views were breathtaking and it was a very relaxing stay. We especially loved all of the animals on the farm if you love animals this is definitely the right place. The walks around the area are absolutely amazing and there’s a walk in the woods on the camp which was beautiful. The toilets were clean and always had loo roll ( bonus when going camping) and the owners are so friendly and welcoming we couldn’t have asked for a better stay we will most certainly be coming back. Hugo the horse was also a bonus the most gentle giant you will ever meet!

Liked Quiet and spacious site. Very friendly owners on arrival who actually let my animal loving daughter sit on Hugo the horse and be reign led round the field!

Primitive grass tent campsite (no pets)

Liked Fantastic campsite in a great area with good nearby facilities for a young couple like ourselves. Spent 2 nights here over a bank holiday and would have gladly stayed longer. 2 pubs within a 5 minute walk with live music and good atmoshophere on the weekends. 40 minute walk into Bewdley which has a great nightlife and various places to eat. Joe was very friendly and welcoming and we will definitely be back. Hugo the horse made my girlfriends weekend.

Disliked Nothing

Primitive grass tent campsite (no pets)

Liked What a brilliant little site, perfect for a couple nights of relaxing and taking your time. A few nice local towns to visit along with wyre forest. 2 pubs within 5 mins walking too.
From arriving Joe was friendly and helpful with local knowledge camp fires and eggs for sale if you so need them.
It's a nice laid back chilled site, no set out pitches unless you need hard standing or electric hook up.
The site has a few friendly animals roaming about which was lovely and the pig was a highlight, she's such a character and will come to say hello and pet, she loves a little scratch too.
Has all need really for a couple of nights away, toilets are basic but well serviced, electric hook up if need that sort of thing.
The site is on a very slight hill but it's up to you where you pitch so not much of an issue.
Will definitely recommend and use again soon I hope.

Disliked If staying for longer than a couple nights a shower would be good but depends on your set up and how self sufficient you are.
It's certainly not a reason not to come.

Local attractions

Lucky Lucy again, for she (and her guests) can walk to the Wyre Forest visitor centre in 10 minutes to hit the woodland trails on foot or mountain bikes, or get up into the treetops at the Go Ape adventure park. Heading out on horseback is an option too, with a riding centre five minutes away by car. If the farm life has caught the kids’ imagination (or yours – no one says you have to grow out of chuckling at cute animals), head for Little Owl Farm Park, 20 minutes' drive away. Bigger beasts can be found roaming the plains at West Midland Safari Park (10 minutes). Turn your attentions to how folk lived in the olden days with a trip to see the rock houses at Kinver Edge (20 minutes), where there’s also a maize maze to lose the kids in, followed by a heritage ride on the Severn Valley Railway (10 minutes). Swing home via Bewdley (five minutes) to take in the museum and (for those of a certain age) sup a pint at the brewery tap room.
