Greenery

General

  • Green and serene site in the spectacular Staffordshire Moorlands
  • Alton Towers within a 20-minute drive and 30 to the Peak District
  • 3.5 acres of open fields, five minutes from restaurants and pubs

For rollercoasters and roams alike, head off on a hol to Springfields Countryside Caravan and Camping, a 3.5-acre site with a large open field for playing in off a peaceful lane with hilly views. It’s less than a 20-minute drive to the rides at Alton Towers, 15 minutes to the city of Stoke-on-Trent and 200 metres from the main road… but the spectacular Staffordshire Moorlands surrounds mean you wouldn’t have a clue that it's all so close by.

Tear yourself away from the vistas and ponder eats: they’re varied in the local area, with pubs and restaurants as well as Indian and Chinese takeaways five minutes away by car. In charge of cooking? The supermarkets of Cheadle are your spots to stock up less than a 10-minute drive up the road.

Once you’ve got your meals sorted, you could be skirting the edges of the glorious Peak District National Park in half an hour, ready to roam around traditional market towns like Buxton Spa.

Other typically English things to do in this area include perusing the pottery at the popular Wedgewood Museum at World of Wedgewood (15 minutes’ drive) and Gladstone Pottery Museum (10 minutes) or riding the working steam Foxfield Light Railway and the Churnet Valley Railway (10 and 15 minutes away). Alternatively, you can make like you’re in Milan by having a gander at the Italian-style Trentham Gardens about 20 minutes down the road.

As is fitting for such a countryside setting, barbecues and campfires are permitted on site, and there's a washing-up area to aid with the cleanup mission. Also on site are toilets and showers revamped for the 2020 season.

Please note

Stayed for two nights whilst visiting family and mountain biking in Cannocks Chase. It is a lovely and welcoming campsite with great facilities which were cleaned regularly. In light of Covid19 we were provided with disinfectant per pitch as well as there being disinfectant and hand sanitizer around all the facilities at campsite. Felt very safe and hygienic! The pitches are all good sizes with great views of the hills and countryside. For a small fee we hired a fire pit and dry wood for our pitch which was lovely in the evenings. We would definitely stay here again a fantastic campsite with all facilities, welcoming and friendly hosts for a very reasonable price.

They do an amazing job at keeping the campsite clean and tidy. Cant fault the place, its not a massive Campsite but it was perfect for us with children has we always knew where they were. Would definitely recommend and would definitely return. We enjoyed our stay that much we extended it. Thank you springfeilds for all the work you put into the camp site.

This is an excellent and very well maintained campsite the showers, toilets and washing up facilities are regularly deep cleaned for your safety. There are knowledgeable friendly staff who will assist you or provide advice should the need arise. Pitches with power and water are available Firepits can be rented and wood to burn can also be purchased. The campsite is family orientated and well placed for ease of access to local shopping and a convenient base for travelling out to Alton Towers. The Scenery is stunning a great camping experience. A special thanks to Paul and his wonderful staff who made us feel most welcome.

The camp was brilliant. Toilet and washing up facilities were clean and tidy and not far from the pitch. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Great grass area for children to play and was visible from all pitches. Also camp is fully enclosed so havent got to worry about children escaping.
Can hire out a fire pit very cheap and nice for the evening time when sitting and relaxing with the views.
Also watch pitch has their water tap.
We really enjoyed it and will be definitely booking up again.
