Freezer in the campers' kitchen wasn't reliable - perhaps due to overuse or people not closing it properly. Some of our food partially defrosted (but having the free-to-use fridge and freezer was a BIG bonus anyway!).

Hearing that the general vibe of the site and the support from our team added to your stay truly means a lot to us. And we love that you made the most of having a campfire — those evenings are often the highlight of a camping trip.

We also really appreciate your thoughtful feedback. While we don’t plant trees on the main camping field because they would block the beautiful open views that so many guests enjoy, we do have a lovely shaded woodland area with hammocks where families can relax and cool off. It’s a peaceful spot that offers natural shade without taking away from the scenery on the pitches.

Thank you as well for mentioning the slope and the freezer. We’ll continue to monitor the freezer closely, especially during busy periods, to keep it working reliably for everyone.

Tyckte om What a campsite! We had the most amazing stay, the canvas cottages were perfect for us, (was a welcome break from pitching our own tent), it was clean and spacious! The facilities on site were great! The bathrooms were always clean and the washing up area was lovely and well-equipped with kettle, microwave and fridge and freezer. The owners are the sweetest couple ever! Came to check on us the first night to make sure we were happy. They were always available when needed and always happy to help. The hammocks and tree swing were lovely, the kids loved playing down there enjoying the shade of the trees, they also enjoyed the ice poles too 😅 thanks for having us! We will definitely be returning ❤️

Tyckte om We absolutely loved our stay here, it was perfection from start to finish. The owners were incredibly friendly and helpful, and you could tell so much care had gone into every detail. Everything was spotlessly clean with lots of thoughtful touches throughout.

The children especially loved the hammocks and the delicious pizza! The views were stunning, and in the evening all the lights made the whole campsite feel so magical and cosy.

Tyckte om Had a fantastic weekend camping at Springfields. We stayed in the deluxe Canvas Cottage, which was really well set up — two double-size rooms, a small fridge, comfortable sofa chairs, and even decorative lighting that made it feel cosy and special.

The bathroom and all shared facilities were clean and well maintained. We were also pleasantly surprised by the thoughtful details throughout — a personalised welcome sign in the tent, handy hooks and stools in the toilets and kitchen, a library with a few boardgames, and a lovely little playground for children.

David and Sharon were incredibly attentive, warm, and welcoming. Their friendliness and smiles really made the stay even more special !

Facilities are cleaned every day, shower rooms are good with nice hot showers. Newly built outdoor Pizza Oven & BbQ a nice touch as is the hammock and chair swinging from the trees. Lovely washing up area with communal fridge freezers and a microwave is a nice touch along with the herb garden. Just a lovely site with a calm vibe- we’ll be back to explore more walks and things in the area.

Tyckte om We've just got back from this campsite and had a really positive experience. The staff were friendly, welcoming and always happy to help with any questions.

The pitches were well maintained, with plenty of space and clearly cared-for grounds. Everything felt tidy and organised, which made setting up and settling in straightforward.

The location itself is lovely, surrounded by beautiful scenery that really lets you switch off and enjoy being outdoors. The facilities were also clean and well looked after, adding to the overall comfort of the stay.

What stood out the most was how peaceful the campsite is. It’s the perfect spot if you’re looking to unwind, enjoy some quiet time, and escape the noise of everyday life. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a calm and pleasant camping experience.

Tyckte om We have a large tent (5x7m) and had pleanty of space so pitches are very generous. My Daughter appreciated that along the grass bath towards the toilets there are motion censored lights, giving her the confidence to go by her self.
Toilets and showers were clean, and kitchenette area.

Tyckte inte om Pitches were on a slope and no laundry facility. There was laundry close by but it was very expensive.
Charged extra for a 2nd car, we extended for 1 night and cost £50 while the original booking was £35pn.

We appreciate you raising the points regarding our amenities and pricing, and we would like to take this opportunity to provide some clarification.
Regarding laundry facilities, as a small, independent park, we simply do not have the physical space to accommodate a laundry room. We understand this can be an inconvenience, and we appreciate your understanding of our site limitations.
In relation to the pricing, we strive to keep our rates as transparent as possible. The initial booking rate of £35 per night is based on the details provided at the time of the booking request. As the second car and two additional children were not included in the original booking, these incur a standard additional charge.
We take great pride in offering some of the most generous pitch sizes in the area. Your 5x7m tent was quite large, and while we were happy to accommodate it without applying the “oversized tent” premiums that many other sites charge, the total cost of your stay reflects the space used and the total number of guests and vehicles present.
We are glad you chose to stay with us, and we hope this helps clarify our policies. We wish you all the best in your future camping travels.
