A aimé We've just got back from this campsite and had a really positive experience. The staff were friendly, welcoming and always happy to help with any questions.

The pitches were well maintained, with plenty of space and clearly cared-for grounds. Everything felt tidy and organised, which made setting up and settling in straightforward.

The location itself is lovely, surrounded by beautiful scenery that really lets you switch off and enjoy being outdoors. The facilities were also clean and well looked after, adding to the overall comfort of the stay.

What stood out the most was how peaceful the campsite is. It’s the perfect spot if you’re looking to unwind, enjoy some quiet time, and escape the noise of everyday life. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a calm and pleasant camping experience.

A aimé We have a large tent (5x7m) and had pleanty of space so pitches are very generous. My Daughter appreciated that along the grass bath towards the toilets there are motion censored lights, giving her the confidence to go by her self.
Toilets and showers were clean, and kitchenette area.

N'a pas aimé Pitches were on a slope and no laundry facility. There was laundry close by but it was very expensive.
Charged extra for a 2nd car, we extended for 1 night and cost £50 while the original booking was £35pn.

We appreciate you raising the points regarding our amenities and pricing, and we would like to take this opportunity to provide some clarification.
Regarding laundry facilities, as a small, independent park, we simply do not have the physical space to accommodate a laundry room. We understand this can be an inconvenience, and we appreciate your understanding of our site limitations.
In relation to the pricing, we strive to keep our rates as transparent as possible. The initial booking rate of £35 per night is based on the details provided at the time of the booking request. As the second car and two additional children were not included in the original booking, these incur a standard additional charge.
We take great pride in offering some of the most generous pitch sizes in the area. Your 5x7m tent was quite large, and while we were happy to accommodate it without applying the “oversized tent” premiums that many other sites charge, the total cost of your stay reflects the space used and the total number of guests and vehicles present.
We are glad you chose to stay with us, and we hope this helps clarify our policies. We wish you all the best in your future camping travels.

A aimé The pitch was huge and the electricity and water worked great. We received a warm welcome and the facilities were great - clean and inviting. It was also really nice that the people staying there also looked after the campsite and were respectful; no loud music, no stupid behaviour.

A aimé This has to be one of the best campsites we have stayed at. Our tent pitch was huge. Plenty of room for my son to have a kick around. Paul, David and Sharon were excellent and are constantly working around the site. The kitchen, toilet and shower were spotless at any time of the day. The showers had constant hot water and did not have to queue once. Close to amenities. Also we had a couple of days out, 20 minutes drive to monkey forest and 1 hour from Cadbury world. We will definitely be going back to Springfields Campsite.

A aimé Excellent facilities and friendly hosts. Beautiful Pizzas available on a Friday evening for a reasonable price. Water points throughout the site. Made friends with a lovely friendly cat :)

Addressing Your Concerns:
We're genuinely sad to see that you wouldn't recommend us to friends or consider returning, and this is entirely down to your experience with one of our non-electric grass pitches.

We sincerely apologize that your assigned pitch was so uneven it limited your tent's setup direction, especially since this put you in an unfavourable position for the weather. We do our best to maintain all our pitches, but some of our grass pitches can shift and settle over time, and we regret that this impacted your stay.

Moving Forward:
We want to assure you that had we been made aware of the issue with your pitch when you were here, we would have immediately offered to move you to an alternative non-electric pitch to ensure you had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Your comfort is our top priority.
